Matthew Koh is a Year 4 medical student at Prince of Wales Hospital with a passion for making complex clinical concepts click. He's a keen tutor across IMSoc, Fig Tree Hall College, and the Phase 1 Ethics program, a SAVY4U clinical skills demonstrator, and currently serves as Treasurer for both IMSoc and Medical Outreach Australia. When he's not knee-deep counting other people's money, he's involved in paediatric oncology research at Sydney Children's Hospital. Join in for the tute, learn how to order antibiotics like a champ, and not a chum ordering off a menu.

Jeffery is a 4th year medical student at the Prince of Wales Clinical School. In addition to being a current PASS+ facilitator, he builds upon his previous experience in teaching roles as a SAVY4U clinical skills demonstrator, Young Australians’ Cancer Initiative High School Cancer Masterclass tutor and Wagga Rural Undergraduate Medical Society Academics Director, as well as design roles as a Publicity Director of the UNSW Internal Medicine Society and member of the Australian Medical Students’ Association publications team to deliver visually engaging tutorials across a range of disciplines. Jeffery is currently completing his Honours project on peripheral neuropathies in rheumatoid arthritis.

Saksham is a fifth-year medical student at the South Western Sydney Clinical School with a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine, physiology and medical education. Over the past four years, he has been actively involved in MedSoc Academics and currently serves as Chair of AMSA Medical Education. He also teaches as a PASS+ facilitator, clinical skills demonstrator and QMP tutor, with a particular passion for making complex concepts clear and clinically relevant. Saksham is a two-time individual winner of the Australian Physiology Competition and completed an Honours research project examining histopathological changes in explanted cardiac tissue.

INTRODUCING… OUR FOURTH SPEAKER! πŸ”₯⭐️πŸ₯πŸ’™

Dr. Melvin Chin is a clinical academic medical oncologist who cares for patients with lung, melanoma, gastrointestinal, and other cancers while also teaching medical students at UNSW. He has contributed to numerous clinical trials and health services research projects and serves as Chair of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee.

Hear Dr. Chin speak about advances in medical oncology and cancer research at the IMSoc Conference on 19th July!
