The Royal Aeronautical Society Australian Division is pleased to announce that 💫 Celebrating Aerospace Downunder 2026 (CAD2026) 💫 will take place on Thursday, 12 November 2026, at the Realm Hotel in Canberra.

Building on the remarkable success of CAD2025, this year’s event will continue to promote knowledge, expertise, and professionalism across all aerospace disciplines. CAD2026 will feature a diverse lineup of sessions led by industry experts from commercial aviation, military applications, sustainable practices, uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), and emerging technologies.

Margaret Staib Air Vice Marshal AM, AM(Mil), CSC Staib, President of the RAeS Australian Division, remarked, "CAD2026 aims to showcase the wealth of talent and insight that exists across all facets of the aerospace sector." This gathering is a unique opportunity to highlight the importance of varied perspectives in driving innovation within the industry.

The event will include keynote presentations, engaging panel discussions, and a 'Disruptors Showcase' highlighting innovators and researchers challenging conventional thinking.

Join ADELAIDE BRANCH for a unique opportunity to visit the Defence Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF), the only facility of its kind in Australia!

The Defence Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF) is the only facility of its kind in Australia, bolstering the nation’s sovereign defence capability and will provide the capacity to allow the P8 Poseidon and E-7A Wedgetail fleets to undergo maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrades in one facility.

The Boeing 737 variants will arrive at the adjoining RAAF Base at Edinburgh, taxi to a nearby defueling station, before being towed to the DMMF to undergo a significant schedule of modification programs from late 2026.
