❄️ Monday Night Outreach in Martin Place ❄️

Last Monday, our volunteers headed into Martin Place with some amazing donations to support those doing it tough during the colder months.

A huge thank you to Bob, Keshant and Dweesh for joining Joel on the outreach, and thanks to Joel and Dweesh for sending through these great photos.

A special mention goes to the generous supporters who donated handmade beanies. They were incredibly well received and very much appreciated by those who received them.

As the weather continues to cool, we are always grateful for donations of:

Another night in Martin Place supporting those doing it tough. Tonight, volunteers headed in with clothes, iced teas and toilet paper to help where we could.

Out in the Community – Martin Place on Monday Night 🌟

A huge thank you to Bob and Keshant for jumping in to support Joel on Monday night as we headed into Martin Place. Your time and effort make a real difference.

They were out at Martin Place with clothing, toilet paper and iced tea, connecting with those doing it tough.

As the cooler months start to settle in, the need for warm essentials is growing.

* Blankets & pillows
* Sleeping bags
* Scarves, socks & beanies
* Toiletries
* Towels

Some of the Shining Light Foundation team headed into Martin Place, making the most of the lovely weather as they connected with those doing it tough.

With iced tea, toilet paper, plenty of blankets and some clothing, every little bit helped. Thank you to all of the generous donations we have received over the last month or two.

A huge shoutout to Winnie, Dwe and Keshant for their incredible support - you all did a fantastic job on the night!

💜 International Women’s Day 💜

This International Women’s Day we acknowledge the incredible women who are part of the team at the Shining Light Foundation.

Working alongside a dedicated group of men and women, many of our female volunteers help organise donations, help Joel organise the BBQ, serve food and distribute donations to people experiencing homelessness at Martin Place. Most Monday nights the team comes together to offer not just food, but kindness, dignity and connection to those doing it tough.

We also recognise the women behind the scenes who help make it all happen, including Azita who founded the cause, and Dani who plays a vital role helping organise and sort donations for the people they support.

We also acknowledge the women who have experienced homelessness themselves and shown extraordinary strength and resilience. Your stories, courage and determination inspire change and help shine a light on the importance of community support.

To every woman volunteering, advocating, supporting and lifting others up - thank you. Your kindness and commitment help create a stronger, more compassionate community.

Together, we continue to shine a light where it’s needed most. ✨
