Update: Unfortunately due to lack of numbers we have had to cancel the CD Clinic with Tanja Kraus this weekend.

We will try and reschedule both a clinic and a gathering at a date later in the year when the world has hopefully settled down a little.

Refunds will be made to those who have made payments.

What is a Ride, Review and Refine clinic?

We will kick off Day 1 with a session on some of the Cowboy Dressage manoeuvres and navigating the court.

Riders choose a Cowboy Dressage test of their choice (from the open court) ride it , it will be judged and scored.

Riders then receive the scoresheet and have time to read, confirm judge comments and talk to the judge about it.

Riders will ride the same test again, but this time they will be coached through the test, refining movements, improving feel and gaining clarity in the moment.

For the third ride, the test will be judged and scored again, allowing riders to compare their progress and see the improvements they had made.

Another session on additional manoeuvres in the court

Tanja is a level 3 with distinction judge and a level 2 clinician, meaning she not only can judge your ride, but then give you the tools to improve movements in real time.

Day 2 we will continue adding in new manoeuvres, and riders can choose to ride a different test, or re ride the same one and have it judged again.

As well as being a Judge and Clinician, Tanja is also an experienced competitor having ridden in official Cowboy Dressage World gatherings across Australia and the USA

Cowboy Dressage is a welcoming home for all styles of horse and rider.

We may not be able to show at our Gathering on April 11th & 12th but we can do the next best thing.

Gathering update:

After much consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our April gathering.

The current fuel situation will make it challenging for our extended Cowboy Dressage family to travel long distances, and with the rising cost of living, we are not confident we will receive enough entries to make the event feasible.

We so looked forward to putting on this gathering for everyone and this was not an easy choice.

We will still be running a clinic with Tanja Kraus - which will now be moved to Saturday & Sunday 11 & 12 April.

Details about that will be coming up in our next post!

We will continue to run practice days monthly.

You can join us on Saturday or Sunday, or both days!

Come along and spend a day or two with like minded people in a fun and relaxed setting.

Gathering Update:

We’d like to sincerely apologise that entries for our upcoming show haven’t opened yet.

As this is our very first gathering, we’re learning as we go as a small club, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we get everything in place.

The good news is—entries will be opening tonight, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to make sure the event is well worth the wait. Never fear, it’s going to be a fantastic gathering!
