๐ซTOTAL FIRE BAN ๐ซ
๐งEXTREME FIRE DANGER๐ง
Sunday 16th March - 2025
A Total Fire Ban will be in place tomorrow, Sunday 16th March. The Greater Sydney Region is forecast to experience Extreme fire danger with warm, dry and windy conditions.
Know your fire risk and what you will do if fire threatens. Be ready to act. Report all unattended fires to Triple Zero (000).
๐ธThese are dangerous fire conditions.
๐ธCheck your bush fire plan and ensure that your property is fire ready.
๐ธIf a fire starts, take immediate action. If you and your property are not prepared to the highest level, go to a safer location well before the fire impacts.
๐ธReconsider travel through bush fire risk areas.
๐ซTOTAL FIRE BAN RULES๐ซ
โก๏ธ No fires during a Total Fire Ban
โก๏ธ During a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.
โก๏ธ General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are not to be done in the open.
โก๏ธ The NSW RFS strongly recommends you reconsider activities such as such using a tractor or slashing, to help reduce the chance of a fire starting on your property.
โ๏ธReminderโ๏ธ
โ
Stay Hydrated โ Drink plenty of water throughout the day to prevent dehydration.
โ
Avoid Prolonged Outdoor Activities - especially during the hottest part of the day. Seek shade and take regular breaks if you need to be outside.
โ
Slip, Slop, Slap โ Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and protective clothing.
โ
Check on Others โ Look out for vulnerable people in our community, including elderly neighbours or those with health conditions.
