Hello! A little update from us.

We were approach to make a submission for the NSW youth justice inquiry - and that we did.

Put simply an inquiry is when government wants to gather evidence to a particular issue by asking for submissions from the members of the public who have expertise or knowledge on the topic at hand.

In our submission we wanted to bring something key to the surface:
PARENTAL INCARCERATION IS NOT PART OF THESE DIALOGUES AND IT SHOULD!

Anyway, here is a post that explains wth an inquiry is, what ours included and that we gave evidence at a hearing involving some federal senators🗣️

Take a look at the full submission in our bio 🫶🏽

Thanks team for your time and knowledge on this piece of work🥳✅🥹

Showing up, solidarity and respect is an ongoing responsibility for all settlers on this land. Particularly for grassroots spaces like YP where First Nations communities have long been, and continue to be, intentionally targeted by the criminal legal system.

This work isn’t seasonal. It’s an ongoing commitment.
But as we approach Invasion Day tomorrow, here are a few ways you can show up.

You’ll find YP folk at the Muloobinba and Gadigal rallies. Our Programs Coordinator Lil will be backing , monitoring and reporting police actions on the ground. If the sun doesn’t deter you and you decide to attend a rally stay safe, stay hydrated and take in the moment.

Always was, always will be✊🏽
