The Sydney Children's Choir's Junior Performing Choir are headed to the South Coast next weekend to sing up a storm! Come along to one of two free concerts in what promises to be delightful afternoon of song.

What do our choristers get up to during their weekly rehearsals?

The answer is: lots!

Our Saturday rehearsals are held for our Primary School aged singers: Mini Singers, Junior Training Choir, Intermediate Training Choir and William Barton Choir. There, they take part in movement, games, ear training and learn plenty of fun repertoire together.

Our choirs are made up of singers from as young as 5 all the way up until Year 12, which means we cater our rehearsals to the needs and experience of different age groups and skill-levels. This means that no chorister is left behind and that every one can have a chance to join our choirs at any point in their musical journey!

Throwback to SCC's amazing feature in our last Lord of the Rings concert in July with Art of the Score and Sydney Symphony Orchestra!

SCC choristers are involved in amazing live opportunities such as this regularly, and have been trusted as the children's choir of choice for concert productions of Howard Shore's incredible score for many years thanks to their majestic and ethereal sound.

They are lucky enough to be performing music from the franchise yet again this October with The Metropolitan Orchestra and Sydney Conservatorium featuring the music of the Fellowship of the Ring.

We hope to see more of our generations of choristers get to take part in this exciting experience!

Fleeting glimpses of SCC Springtime concert last weekend. Fabulous Performance from all. Passions were high for Question Time and the audience was in fine voice thanks to the Matthew Doyle Choir. Congratulations to choristers and staff.

SCC are thrilled to be performing the amazing music of Howard Shore from the Lord of the Rings once again this year!

In collaboration with the amazing musicians from and , they will be performing live alongside the film screening on 7th & 8th of October at the Tiktok Entertainment Centre , in celebration of the film's 25th anniversary of release.

Voices of Parliament . What a remarkable day. The Sydney Children's Choir performed a series of new works by Alice Chance in all the significant spaces of the Parliament of NSW. There was beauty, humour, learning and great variety. Congratulations to all our choristers, the fabulous Artistic team led by Sam Allchurch and all our operations team and supervisors. What a privilege for all concerned. These are a few shots from rehearsal.

Sydney Children’s Choir is pleased to offer excellence scholarships for our choir in 2027. Scholarships are available for singers ages 8-12 (Parramatta) and 10-17 (Walsh Bay). Young people who receive a scholarship will receive a full subsidy for their 2027 choir fees.
