The groundbreaking Marliya ensemble has been inspiring audiences with performances of Spinifex Gum for over a decade, addressing issues from land rights to deaths in custody.

Now the show is being performed by a new generation of young First Nations women, we are adding new songs and stories, updating Spinifex Gum for the current moment.

Your support this EOFY can help us bring this powerful musical experience to more people and create more opportunities for young First Nations singers.

Gondwana Choirs strives to facilitate new Australian music.

Commissioning new work is one of the most important ways we can support Australian artists and ensure new stories, languages, perspectives, and musical voices continue to be heard.

These projects are ambitious and resource-intensive, but they have lasting impact far beyond a single performance.

Over the years, we have built a strong commissioning record, working with composers and creatives to develop new repertoire that expands the choral landscape and creates meaningful artistic experiences for performers and audiences alike.

This EOFY, your support helps us continue investing in new Australian music and the artists shaping the future of the artform.

The moments you see on stage begin long before the performance.

They begin in rehearsals, workshops, classrooms, conversations, and countless hours of creative collaboration.

This EOFY, we invite you to help support the work behind the scenes that make these artistic experiences possible.

Every donation helps sustain artists, programs, and opportunities for our community.

Two thirds of Australian public school students do not have access to consistent in-school music education. We believe ambitious artistic experiences should be accessible to everyone.

From rehearsals to performances, every project is built with care, creativity, and collaboration.

Your EOFY support helps us continue developing high-quality artistic work while creating opportunities for artists and audiences alike.

Thank you for helping sustain independent arts practice and creative opportunity.
