Leading a group of children—many with no prior music experience—towards a show-ready vocal and live music performance in such a short time, starting straight from the holidays, has been incredibly rewarding.

With the school term just beginning, a few students are still absent, but we are so, so grateful for the progress and the results we’re already seeing. 💛

What an inspiring and eye-opening experience preparing for this year’s Chinese New Year Town Hall show with our young performers. ✨🎶

The Inner West Youth Orchestra is no longer responsible for the hire of Sydney Town Hall for the Australian International Art Festival on 10 August 2025. This notice is issued as part of our duty of care to all participants, advising them to liaise directly with the AIAF Board. The Sydney Town Hall booking was originally made under our orchestra and has since been terminated.
