Together, We’re Shaping the Future of Paediatric Cancer Care

Our Kids with Cancer Foundation Team and Board recently had the honour of visiting the new 14-storey building at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, with the completion of construction marking a significant milestone in the opening of a world-class children’s hospital and a major step forward in critical and acute healthcare for children and families.

For families facing childhood cancer, this redevelopment enhances access to exceptional care and specialist treatment, within an environment thoughtfully designed around the unique needs of kids and their loved ones during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

We are incredibly proud that philanthropy has helped make this possible. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our KWCF donors and supporters, we’re contributing $10 million via Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation towards delivering two dedicated levels of paediatric oncology that will care for kids with cancer and their families for generations to come.

This milestone is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when community comes together to help build a brighter future.

We look forward to seeing the doors of the new building open in the coming months and the life-changing impact it will have for kids and families long into the future.

Small hero, big heart: McKenna’s Wigs4Kids™ fundraiser 💙

At just 5 years old, McKenna is already making an incredible difference.

With one brave chop, she donated her beautiful hair to our Wigs4Kids™ program and rallied her local community behind her and the cause, raising nearly $3,000 to help make today easier for kids with cancer and their families.

A massive thank you to McKenna, her incredible family, and the wonderful local community of champions who got behind her with so much kindness and generosity. What a beautiful example of what can happen when people come together for kids who need it most.

And the most inspiring part? McKenna has already told us she wants to do it all again. ✨

What a powerful reminder that courage, compassion and community can start at any age.

Feeling inspired? Turn your next haircut into something truly life-changing by joining our Wigs4Kids™ community.

As the Easter long weekend comes to a close, our hearts are with every kid and family who spent it going through cancer treatment. 💙🐣

We know Easter and special occasions don’t often feel light, carefree or filled with the kind of joy families hope for when hospital rooms, treatment schedules and long days so prominently shape everyday life.

For kids spending time in hospital this Easter, Care Packs filled with comfort, distraction, snacks and special Easter surprises helped create small moments of joy, childhood and togetherness. And for families navigating treatment during a time usually centred around celebration, those moments can mean so much.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who got involved in our Easter Ask and helped donate a Care Pack. Your kindness helped make today easier for kids with cancer and their families this Easter.💙

If you’d still like to help create moments of comfort for a child in treatment, donations are still open for a little bit. Donate here 👇

🐣 Final days to help deliver comfort and joy this Easter 💙

There’s still time to bring comfort, distraction and a little Easter joy to kids undergoing cancer treatment.

For just $20, your donation helps fund a Care Pack filled with thoughtful essentials, activities, snacks and special Easter goodies for children spending Easter in hospital.

This Easter, Penny packed a Care Pack and included a heartfelt message for a child currently in treatment, just as she was herself only last year. 💙

It’s one of many special packs being sent this season, with 70 Easter Care Packs delivered to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead last week alone, and more being delivered to children’s hospitals across Australia.

With your support, we can help fund the next Care Packs, bringing smiles, comfort and small moments of childhood joy to more kids and families when they need it most.

Across FY25, thanks to our incredible community, we’ve delivered 5,976 Care Packs nationwide! That's 5,976 smiles and happy moments.

💙 Help us send one more moment of joy this Easter. Donate a Care Pack today.

A little bit of fun before the long weekend 🩵

Before our Kids with Cancer Foundation team came together to help make today easier for kids with cancer and their families, we were all kids too… with big dreams, big personalities, and maybe even early signs of the roles we’d one day grow into. ✨

Safe to say, this little dig into the past gave us plenty of laughs...and some very cute throwback moments.

Can you guess who’s who? 👀
Drop your guesses below and see how many of the team you get right.

A beautiful reminder that while we’ve all grown up, the heart behind what we do has always been part of who we are.

Thank you to our friends at for the brilliant idea 💡!

Today marks the start of the Global Volunteer Appreciation Month 💙

This month, we proudly celebrate the incredible people who give their time, heart and energy to help make today easier for kids with cancer and their families.

From our amazing community event volunteers and event-day legends, to our corporate teams, office helpers and everyone who puts their hand up to support us by giving their time, thank you.

This video takes us back to last year’s City2Surf, where some of our incredible volunteers shared their WHY. Their words are such a powerful reminder of the heart behind this community.

We are so proud to have you all as part of our Community of Champions: people who show up, give back and help make today easier for kids with cancer and their families when it matters most.

Thank you for being part of this with us. We truly couldn’t do it without you. 💙

$35,000 Raised to Help Make Today Easier 💛

We are incredibly grateful to The Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce for their extraordinary generosity and support.

It was such a privilege to be part of their 40th Annual Awards Dinner and to be chosen as the charity partner for this special milestone event.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Chamber and its community, an amazing $35,000 was raised to help make today easier for kids with cancer and their families.

This support will help provide practical financial assistance, comforting Care Packs, bespoke wigs through Wigs4Kids™, and vital funding towards hospitals, research and clinical positions to support families when they need it most.

To the Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and everyone who contributed: thank you so much for standing beside families facing childhood cancer and helping bring care, comfort and hope.

We are so grateful for your partnership. 💛

Charity Will Writing Week ends 30 March.

Writing a Will is something many of us know is important… but often put off.

To make it easier, we’ve partnered with Safewill to offer our community of champions the chance to create a Will for free. Online, secure and in around 20 minutes.

In this short video, Vanessa, our Bequest Manager, shares why it matters and how simple it can be to get it sorted.

It’s about taking care of the people you love and bringing peace of mind, knowing everything is in place.

After looking after loved ones, some people also choose to leave a gift to a cause close to their heart. For us, that helps make today easier for kids with cancer and their families, now and into the future.

Our Story...

Kids with Cancer Foundation is a small independent children’s charity located in the heart of Castle Hill in Sydney’s west. For over 20 years we have been helping sick children and hospital networks Australia wide, by providing over $25 million in assistance.

We are not just about research even though we have been funding research into finding better ways to treat existing cancers since 1998. As important as research is our aim is to make the children suffering now as comfortable and as pain free as they can be. One of our main objectives is to provide direct financial assistance to the families of pre-teen children (12 years old and under) who are experiencing financial difficulties due to their child being treated for cancer.

We are extremely proud to be one of the largest ever donors to Sydney Children’s Hospital, by providing $8.7 million to the Kids Cancer Centre, with Ward refurbishment, the construction & fit-out of the Research Unit including the Behavioral Sciences Unit, the Sydney Cord & Marrow Centre & numerous clinician’s salaries.

In 2005 we became a ‘Founder’ of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and since have provided them with $7.5 million. Victoria’s Monash Children’s hospital has benefited from $1.5 million to build and fit out their Cancer Centre, and the Adelaide Women’s and Children Oncology Fellow’s position has been given $1.8 million.
