We ask our very dear Lord through the intercessions of the purest Virgin Saint Mary to fill our hearts with peace, love, and joy, and to grant us health, strength, and grace.

May she pray for us and for all our loved ones, and may her prayers and blessings remain with us throughout the coming year and always.

Have a blessed fast ❤️🙏🏻

The year in review, it’s achievements and financials and an encouraging message from his holiness our beloved Pope Tawadros II.. “The Service of the Shepherd and Mother of Light is one of the ministries that has demonstrated its effective role within the social service system of the Coptic Orthodox Church. What is particularly noteworthy is the continuous growth in both the quality and scope of what this blessed service provides.

My greetings and appreciation to everyone who contributes to, participates in, and supports this service, as well as to the Board of Trustees for their dedication, commitment, and faithful work in every aspect of the ministry. May you always remain in the care of Christ the Good Shepherd and the Mother of Light.”

Look at how wonderful and simple life can be. The less fortunate are able to find joy and make the most of their time without even having a ball to play with. There’s something truly beautiful about that. It’s a powerful reminder of how much we often take for granted, and how happiness is so often found in gratitude, creativity, and the company of others rather than in the things we own.

Our vision at SML is founded on the belief that self-sufficiency is essential for long term success. We aim to empower individuals to build sustainable futures without relying on others for their basic livelihood.

Through our carpentry and sewing workshops, we provide practical skills and employment pathways that enable the less fortunate to become self-reliant, secure meaningful work, and restore dignity and independence in their daily lives.
