Youth Tourism NSW. Youth Tourism NSW is the industry association for professionals and businesses in the youth sector of the tourism industry in NSW and the ACT.

Youth Tourism New South Wales Association Inc. is the peak industry body and voice of the youth tourism industry in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. As a membership based, not-for-profit, Youth Tourism NSW role is to influence, educate, collaborate, and provide a platform for operators to work together to grow the youth travel segment. Youth Tourism NSW 60+ members are a combi

nation of individuals, small, medium or large tourism operators, who represent a diverse cross section of the youth tourism industry:

- Hostel and budget accommodation
- Travel agents
- Tour and transport operators
- Media publishers & marketing services providers
- Student and education services
- Employment and visa services
- Insurance providers
- Bars, clubs and entertainment providers

The Association, driven by a voluntary Executive Committee, actively encourages partnerships with
Industry and Government and government agencies such as Tourism New South Wales to promote industry cohesion, raise industry standards, and facilitate educational and trade development opportunities. Youth Tourism NSW aims to develop the youth travel market, so more young, independent and adventurous travellers, workers and students choose Sydney and New South Wales as Australia’s place to travel, work, study and play.

YTNSW Secretary winner of youth sector development scholarship!

Tourism Australia, in conjunction with the Backpacker & Youth Tourism Advisory Panel (BYTAP) and the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), is pleased to announce the winner of the youth-sector development scholarship, Nora Kisser, Guest Services Manager at Millett Group’s Wake Up! Hostels in Sydney, who also serves in a voluntary capacity as Youth Tourism NSW’s Secretary.

Designed to increase distribution engagement as well as develop the capability of a future leader in the sector, Nora will receive a one-year ATEC membership for Millett Group, a place in the ELITE program including mentoring and attend ATEC Meeting Place later this year. The teams at Wake Up! and Side Bar are hosting a Friday night get-together on 1 August 2025 for the youth tourism crew – and you’re invited! Kicking off from 4pm at 509 Pitt Street, Sydney, roll into Side Bar for food, drinks and dancefloor action. It’s a fun way to bring together YTNSW members including hostel staff, tour operators and other industry mates for a catch-up, a few laughs and some well-earned end-of-week drinks.
