Pitching at a TFN event is just the beginning of a long-term journey.

Reflecting on taking the stage at our Equity & Inclusion event in Brisbane back in 2024, Gary Allen of Enabled.vip shared how memorable and affirming the experience was for him.

Our TFN Alumni Program allows us to support grassroots changemakers well beyond the pitch night, with ongoing networks, pro bono expertise, and growth opportunities that help build resilience and scale community impact over time.

Want to support our alumni? Share your corporate skills, strategic mentorship, or professional expertise to help organisations like Enabled.vip scale their initiatives.

True impact isn't about a single night of giving. It's about long-term sustainability. While 73% of Australian charities remain classified as small, 69% of TFN alumni have grown into medium or large organisations.

Our Alumni program is a big part of why: ongoing training, corporate connections and mentorship that help grassroots leaders keep growing well after the pitch. Swipe through to see how it works.

Eight years after the TFN event in Melbourne, Chris Lombardo (CEO of Bridge Darebin) is still seeing the long-term impact of her pitch.

At TFN, giving is far more than a single evening. Through our Alumni Program, we walk alongside grassroots leaders well beyond event night, providing ongoing coaching, networks, and opportunities that strengthen their community work for years to come.

When you get involved with TFN, you are not just funding a single moment. You are investing in the long-term future of Australia's social changemakers.

A little update from us on Healthy People, Healthy Planet! 🌿✨

To ensure we create the biggest possible impact alongside our wonderful partners at the Bupa Foundation, we are postponing our main event to later in the year.

While we work behind the scenes to lock in our new date, we cannot wait to bring our community together! In the meantime, we will be hosting special Network Connector events in both Sydney and Melbourne so we can still gather, connect, and celebrate local grassroots changemakers together 💚

Stay tuned to our channels for upcoming details on both local connector gatherings and our rescheduled flagship date.

Thank you as always for your continuous warmth, flexibility, and support for collective giving! 🌟

Twelve months ago, our Melbourne event backed three very different ideas: a packaging machine, a boxing gym, and a newspaper printed for 96 prisons.

The Big Umbrella used the funding to get 500 meals to people experiencing homelessness through a new vending initiative. Left Write Hook delivered an 8-week trauma-informed recovery program in Port Melbourne that stretched further than planned, reaching 45 survivors across a second program in Preston. And About Time kept 12 editions of its newspaper reaching incarcerated people in every state and territory.

David, an inmate in NSW, put it simply: being published in About Time means being "recognised again as fully human, capable of thought, creativity, and contribution."

That's the final chapter of our Equity & Inclusion 2025 impact report series, nine organisations backed by one incredible year of support.

Want to help write the next one? Join us at our upcoming Healthy People Healthy Planet live crowdfunding event! Learn more: https://www.thefundingnetwork.com.au/events/
