Join with us in prayer today on this International Day of Peace. 🙏

Sovereign Lord,

It is through Jesus that we can find peace. Through his blood, shed on the cross, you are reconciling to yourself all things on heaven and on earth. We groan with creation as we wait for this promise to be completely fulfilled.

As we wait, we pray for situations of unrest around the world: for unrest caused by war, political conflict, fractured relationships, and persecution. By your Spirit, transform hearts to work towards reconciliation, and keep those who are in danger safe. We also pray for unrest caused by disease, famine, drought, floods, and other natural disasters. Compel your people to be generous and show Christ’s love to those who are in need.

Lord, in your great mercy, hear our prayer.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
