This page is dedicated to reuniting and maintaining a bond of kinship of the families that migrated and settled in Australia as early as 1920's., that journeyed to a country that was genuinely foreign. There was no Association, or Organisation ( or many of the basic Arabic food stores available today ) " what would I do without the charcoal chicken and garlic sandwich ? or the lebanese cucumber...its a long list...
Lets not forget, no local member of parliament, council, doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, accountant, legal or other professional that offered services who could communicate in Arabic..How would you explain a diagnoses of high anxiety depressive disorder in hand signals and limited English ? A group of young and ambitions men and women, from Bhanin El-Minieh, a small coastal village North of Lebanon, decided to found a community service centre that would help link new immigrants with employment, establish businesses,and obtain the basic access and knowledge to a better life in Australia. They also wanted to build an establishment where their children could access in the future, and from these collective ideas of helping the wider community the association was born...

Many young Australians of the Bhanin El-Mineh region are oblivious to the struggles their parents,grand parents endured to establish this organisation. Anyone and Everyone from any heritage region is welcome to join this group. So join our page today, and share with us memories of the past and present. Our Story

The Association of Bhanin has truly developed since its foundation to servicing the wider Arabic and non Arabic communities. As of January 2016, All Office related services, Community Development, Aged Care, Family &Financial Assistance, etc have been transferred to a new independent sister organisation known as Western Sydney Community Centre operating from the same address. Since the organisation transfered all of its Welfare services in 2016 to Western Sydney Community Centre, The focus and efforts are about contributing and giving back to the community and its members. In 2019 the organisation changed its name to Bhanin Association Australia, a reflection of its maturity and future ambitions. Many young Australians of the Bhanin El-Mineh region are oblivious to the struggles their parents, grand parents endured to establish this organisation.
