A New Zealand Venture is the flagship international event for the Venturer Scout section and the 16th New Zealand Venture, Venture'26 brings together around 1,000 youth members from all over New Zealand, Australia, and further afield.
Today, the New Zealand Venture - Australian Contingent of 600 members is officially on the ground in Wellington, kicking things off with the Wellington Explorer Day. This is only the beginning of the Venture'26 journey.

Attending a New Zealand Venture is an outstanding introduction to International Scouting. Set in one of the most picturesque countries on the planet, Australian Venturer Scouts will be offered a program of outdoor adventure and cultural immersion that will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Two of our Vennies fly out tomorrow to (AD)Venture 26, NZ.
’Twas the night before Venture, across Australia wide,
Backpacks were packed with excitement and nerves tucked inside.
But eyes were set eastward, across the wide sea,
To Aotearoa waiting with all it would be.
Scarves folded with care, boots ready to roam,
From city streets far from this soon-to-be home.
With passports checked twice and flights on the mind,
AdVenture was calling, the one-of-a-kind.
From early cold mornings to rain on our gear,
To sunny breaks laughing with new friends made here.
From tents and campsites to fires burning bright,
Stories and memories shared on into the night.
With teamwork and grit through the wind and the rain,
Through steep climbs rewarded with views hard to explain.
Each step in Aotearoa, each kilometre too,
Building memories shared for many years to come.
So rest now, Contingent, tomorrow’s the day,
When Australia heads over the Tasman our way.
With courage, connection, and adventure in sight,
Happy Venture’26 to all, and to all, a good night

Scouts Australia NSW provides young Aussies aged 5 to 25 with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure.
With over 17,000 youth and adult members from various cultural and religious backgrounds and with varying abilities, Scouts is one of the largest and most successful youth organisations in the state.
Today’s Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of outdoor activities, from ‘traditional Scouting skills’ such as camping and bush craft, through to more extreme challenges such as abseiling, overnight hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, snow activities, rock climbing, sailing and even flying! Scouts also have the opportunity to become involved in performing arts, leadership development, community service, amateur radio operation, environmental projects, large-scale Australian events such as Cuborees, Jamborees and Ventures, international events, and service projects in developing countries.
At Scouts Australia NSW, we put the needs of young people first. Our youth led, adult supported approach ensures our youth members are always at the forefront of our program and gives them the platform to take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
