This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate the strength, wisdom and enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.

At HalfCut, we know that restoring Australia’s forests isn’t just about planting trees - it’s about listening, learning and recognising that First Nations peoples have cared for these landscapes for tens of thousands of years.

As we work to regenerate rainforest, we’re committed to supporting projects that honour Indigenous knowledge, leadership and the deep relationship between people and Country.

This week, we encourage our community to take the time to learn, listen and celebrate the stories, cultures and achievements of the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

Today is World Environment Day. A moment to reflect on the state of our planet and the role each of us can play in shaping its future. ☘️💚

This year’s theme, Climate Action, is a reminder that the impacts of climate change are already being felt around the world. But it’s also a reminder that solutions exist, and that meaningful action is possible when we work together.

At HalfCut, that’s why we focus on regeneration.

Because restoring nature isn’t just about planting trees - it’s about rebuilding ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, strengthening climate resilience and creating healthier landscapes for future generations.

When forests are restored, they store carbon. When ecosystems recover, biodiversity returns. When landscapes become more resilient, so do the communities that depend on them.

This World Environment Day, we’re celebrating everyone helping to create that future - one tree, one hectare and one HalfCut at a time.

Still buzzing after an incredible few days up in the Daintree for our Yalada Tour earlier this month 🌿

Massive thanks to every legend who came along, got their hands dirty, shared stories, laughed around the fire, and fully leaned into the experience. It was a few special days of connecting to culture, connecting with each other, and giving back to one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Together, we helped restore parts of the ancient Daintree Rainforest - and honestly, that kind of impact hits different when you’re standing in it, hearing it breathe around you.

Big love to the crew, the Traditional Owners, and everyone who made the tour what it was. Until next time 🌱🤎
