What: Underwater Navigation skills workshop 🤿
When: Thursday 14th May 6 pm
Where: The Loft, UTS
Who: Everyone (members and non-members are all welcome)
Why: Cause fun 😁

Introducing DOUTS' first underwater skills workshop. Next Thursday we'll be meeting at the Loft for a workshop on Underwater Navigation. One of our scuba instructors will be giving a presentation on underwater navigation (topics including natural navigation and compass navigation). They'll also be doing some dry demonstrations and helping some people polish their navigation skills as well. We'll also be sharing some photos from our recent dives and discuss our upcoming courses and dive trips.

This Saturday morning the club is organising a dive at Kurnell (The steps).

We're taking our boat, Take V, out on Monday for a double boat dive at Long Reef. Hopefully we'll see some sharks.

Hey Divers! And welcome to all our newbies!

We’ve been getting a lot of messages recently about events. I want to remind you that this club is run by a small number of very busy volunteers.

We would love to have more events. We have the gear, we have a boat, we just need you.

If there’s a dive you wanna do there’s probably a number of other club members keen to join you. Chuck it in the fb group chat, organise for someone to grab the gear and off you go!

In the meantime go freeze your butts off with Jase at Shelly tomorrow, apparently there’re PJs galore!

Introducing Adam!

As both a Queenslander and Hilux driver by choice we are super glad that Adam isn’t our safety officer 😬

Although we are so grateful for his commitment to the club post-presidency as our webmaster, allowing us to manage memberships, hire gear out & organise events with ease. Perhaps it’s time to organise a trip to the GBR to check in on him?… 🪸

Skipper and 1/2 our events and socials team, Jase is a fair weather diver who loves clear blue waters with extraordinary viz ☀️

An avid traveller, it’s challenging to find him in Sydney but he’s a an adventurous dive buddy well worth the wait if you’re happy to never see Clifton again 🐙💔

Introducing Lesley!

Half of our events and socials team, Lesley is yet to be spotted underwater without her camera 📸
She is passionate about using her love of critters and photography to support citizen science projects, especially Spot a Shark! 🦈🦈

She’s part of the club to find similarly dive obsessed friends and create the access to gear and dive buddies she would’ve appreciated at the start of her dive journey 🤿
