Dear Community Leaders, Media Representatives, Nepalese Organisations, and Respected Members of the Public,
Tamang Society of NSW warmly invites you to attend an urgent Press Meet and Community Discussion regarding the ongoing Bikram Lama case.
This matter has caused deep distress, confusion, and emotional trauma for Bikram Lama’s family, relatives, friends, and the wider Nepalese community in Australia and abroad. We believe it is now time for the community to come together, seek clarity, raise concerns, and support the family in pursuing timely answers.
Meeting Details:
Date: 3 May 2026
Time: 4:30 PM sharp Sunday
Venue: Granville Community Centre NSW
1 Memorial Drive, Granville NSW 2142
The concerns surrounding this case are serious and require public attention:
A passport was reportedly found next to the deceased body discovered on 7 December near St James Station, yet there was no major public media reporting until April 2026.
Recent reporting by The Guardian stating that the body is Bikram Lama has created major concern, especially when NSW authorities and investigators have advised that DNA confirmation is still pending.
According to information received from the Ministry of Nepal, the DNA report from Bikram Lama’s mother was completed on 27 April 2026 and sent to Australia, but the final DNA matching result has not yet been publicly confirmed.
Questions remain regarding the lengthy investigation process, communication delays, and the handling of information by relevant authorities and involved agencies.
Unclear reporting has caused immense pain, sleepless nights, and severe emotional stress for the family and community already suffering through uncertainty.
This meeting aims to:
Unite Nepalese organisations and community leaders in support of Bikram Lama’s family
Seek transparency and accountability from relevant authorities
Discuss ways to help fast-track the investigation and confirmation process
Bring stronger media and public attention to the matter
Provide emotional and practical support to the affected family
We sincerely request all Nepalese organisations, community representatives, media outlets, and concerned individuals to come forward and stand together during this difficult time.
Your presence and voice can help bring justice, clarity, and compassion.
Kind regards,
Tamang Society of NSW
