Tamarama SLSC is a volunteer Surf Lifesaving Club.

We patrol Tamarama beach on weekends and public holidays from September to April each year.

Ever wondered what it actually takes to become a lifesaver at Tamarama? 🛟🐢

Now you can, our bronzies have just graduated and will shortly join our patrols as surf life savers 🫶🤗

Over 7 weeks, our bronzies have:
🏃‍♀️ Trained their beach + ocean skills
📚 Completed self-paced learning modules
🚩 Put in the hours with a 5-hour shadow patrol
⛑ Attended full-day First Aid & Advanced Resus training
🌊 Taken on optional ocean swims + rescue board sessions

And on top of that?
These legends have shown up week after week with energy, grit and a whole lot of heart 💛❤️

This is no small feat — and we couldn’t be prouder. A massive congratulations to our bronzies for their tireless effort and dedication 👏🔥

If you’re keen to join this amazing community. Don’t fret, we’ll also be running a Spring Medallion course later this year 🌊💙

A super exciting week for us . Saturday night - some of our members will be dancing their way through the parade on the float 🕺💃

On Sunday - a recovery session will be hosted at Tamarama Beach. They’ll be some amazing artists and performers so make sure you come on down to check out the activities finishing the week in style 🎵🦄

Tamarama SLSC acknowledges the Bidiagal, Birrabirragal and Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the traditional custodians of the Sydney coast. We pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging and acknowledge their continuing care of and connection to the land and waters.

We acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonisation, and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. As a surf life saving club, we are grateful for the privilege of joining First Nations peoples in caring for the coastal environment.

May we walk gently on this land.
