Aussies united for Camp Nairi! 🇦🇺🇦🇲 (Part 2/2)

What a day, Sydney! Perfect weather, an epic route, and a community united for one great cause.

On September 20, more than 60 participants took on the AGBU Global Run through some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. We were incredibly proud to be one of 22 AGBU chapters worldwide that came together for this movement.

Together, Team Sydney has raised over USD $10,000 for Camp Nairi, helping support children affected by the Artsakh war.

A huge thank you to everyone who ran, walked, fundraised, and volunteered to make the day such a success.

We also want to extend our gratitude to the global corporate donors Unibank, Pegasus Development, and Toufayan Bakeries for supporting the AGBU Global Run.

The run may be over, but the fundraising continues! Follow the link below to donate today and help us reach the global target.

💡 Did you know?

Armenia may be a small nation, but it has produced an incredible number of world-class chess players and Grandmasters.

Some of Armenia’s most recognised names include Levon Aronian, Tigran Petrosian, Rafael Vaganian, Gabriel Sargissian, Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchian.

From individual champions to international team success, chess has become a proud part of Armenia’s sporting and cultural identity.

⏪ FLASHBACK FRIDAY ⏪

Navasartian Games 2001

Another year, another chapter in AGBU Sydney’s sporting history.

The 2001 Navasartian Games brought together Armenian athletes, families and supporters to celebrate competition, community and culture. From the opening tip-off to the final whistle, the memories made continue to be part of our club’s story.

Every photo reminds us the pride of wearing the AGBU colours, and the generations who helped shape where we are today.

Were you there? 👀 Tag yourself, tag your teammates, or tag someone you recognise in the photos and help us relive the memories!
💙❤️
