Celebrating International Translation Day 2026

Yesterday at Counterpoint Multicultural Centre, we celebrated International Translation Day in our Community English Class.

This year's theme: "Linguistic Diversity and Language Rights" – Translation, interpreting, and terminology at the heart of linguistic inclusion, with "The Power of Being Understood".

Being understood in your own language is a right. We're proud to create spaces where every language and every voice is valued.

Honoured to host the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) at Poets Corner Preschool and Counterpoint Multicultural Centre this week.

A great exchange on child protection, trauma-informed care, early intervention, family-centred practice, First Nations engagement, CALD communities, and support for families in social housing.

Thanks to LCSA for making it happen and to our teams for sharing the work we do every day.

Home shouldn't be a privilege. It should be a right.

This Homelessness Week, we're standing with our community because we know the pain of housing uncertainty, and we won't stay silent.

We need action. Real investment. Real support.

At Counterpoint, we're here for you. Always.
