Join us as our community comes together to say NO to domestic and family violence and abuse. Every registration helps ensure victim-survivors can access specialist support when they need it most.

Whether you're walking with us again this year or joining for the first time, our annual walk is a powerful way to stand with victim-survivors and send a clear message: domestic and family violence has no place in our community.

Sign up as an individual or rally a team here https://tinyurl.com/Marys-House-Walk raise vital funds for our refuge and the specialist, practical, therapeutic and wellbeing programs that help women and children move forward with safety, dignity and hope.

We're so grateful to Rydges North Sydney for providing complimentary sausage sizzle generously served up by the Rotary Clubs of the Northern Suburbs Region. Live music from the NSW Police Band, and plenty of family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) fun to round out a truly memorable morning.

Together, let's say yes to safety and hope.

Happy NAIDOC Week! This year's theme is ‘50 Years of Deadly,’ marking five decades of recognising and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander excellence in all its forms.

In the words of the NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) Week Secretariat, the theme is "a tribute to the people who built this movement. The Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who keep showing up, year after year."

At the ALS, we’re working every day to carry on this legacy of resistance, and forging an even deadlier next 50 years.

The stunning NAIDOC poster art is Paralpi by Zaachariaha Fielding.

Coercive control is when someone repeatedly hurts, scares or isolates another person to control them.

Your feedback will help us understand how the law is working and whether parts of it should be changed in the future.

Public consultation is now open and closes on 28 August 2026.
