The term is over and our Tuesday film project 'Puppet Love' is complete! It's a romantic comedy exploring the modern dating world with a creative twist that allowed our artists to create their own puppets! We won't post it just yet - gonna submit it to some film festivals first!

We're already planning our project for term 4! We won't say too much, but we're planning to make a crime comedy film to enter into Tropfest 2027!

Yesterday our Monday gang had lots of fun with sounds. The artists came up with some really creative ways of simulating the sounds of their characters and of the ocean. Equipment included scissors, water bottles, parachutes and vocal performances!

We then incorporated all our new sounds into a full walkthrough rehearsal of 'Steve the Crab'.

This week our Tuesday gang filmed the first few scenes of 'Puppet Love', and just look at the amazing puppet ("Rodney"), made by our very own Michael Harris! How amazing is it for a first attempt at making a puppet?!

We were very grateful to National Institute of Dramatic Art for helping us find a shooting location onsite that we could use as Rodney's home! Big thanks to Robin and Bianca!

We also planned out a few more scenes to film next week. The film has legs (even if Rodney doesn't)!

We had a big day yesterday working on 'Steve the Crab'!

Our Monday gang:
- Made a props list (with a plan to make them all next week)
- Made a list of sound effects and experimented with creating them
- Ran through the opening scene tens of times to drill it down!
