This week our Tuesday gang filmed the first few scenes of 'Puppet Love', and just look at the amazing puppet ("Rodney"), made by our very own Michael Harris! How amazing is it for a first attempt at making a puppet?!

We were very grateful to National Institute of Dramatic Art for helping us find a shooting location onsite that we could use as Rodney's home! Big thanks to Robin and Bianca!

We also planned out a few more scenes to film next week. The film has legs (even if Rodney doesn't)!

We had a big day yesterday working on 'Steve the Crab'!

Our Monday gang:
- Made a props list (with a plan to make them all next week)
- Made a list of sound effects and experimented with creating them
- Ran through the opening scene tens of times to drill it down!

Yesterday our Tuesday team continued making puppets for our short film 'Puppet Love'. There's something so satisfying about creating art with your hands!

We also made some props and did a little scouting of the National Institute of Dramatic Art building for potential filming locations!

Midnight Feast Tuesday classes were back in session today and we got so much done! We're working on a new film 'Puppet Love' - where the world of puppetry meets the world of modern dating.

We workshopped some puppet voices, drew some potential puppet characters and wrote most of the script! Everyone got to pitch their own puppet design and we'll start making them next week!

Today we welcomed our artists back for term 3 of 2026, and it's gonna be amazing! On Mondays this term we're working on 'Stevie the Crab', a short play created by our very own Steve Konstantopoulos!

In today's session we read through the story and workshopped the physicality of a bunch of fun sea creatures including crabs, shrimp, sharks and jellyfish!

Every artist had a go at embodying each sea creature and we assigned parts by the end of the session! We have a whole cast of sea creatures!

We're so excited to build Stevie the Crab's story!
