I Made A Child Smile is a not for profit organisation that aims to be different from other charitable organisations. How do we at I Made A Child Smile differ from the rest?
- no staff members at any stage take money from the organisation. Everyone is volunteering their time and their assets.
- we do not ask for your bank details or other highly personal information.
- we do not dedu
ct money from your bank account or ask for your credit card details.
- we do not call you continually and ask for more money. So how does I Made A Child Smile operate?
- we obtain wishes from children and families in need or unfortunate situations then we post them on our page and send them out to our list of contacts via email. If someone chooses to make the wish come true for the child and their family they can respond to the email or the post on our page. If not, that is completely okay. Everyone has the choice to make true or fund the child's wish in full, make a contribution towards the wish or not get involved at all.
- we receive our wishes as referrals from different Children's Hospitals in Sydney and also other verified sources.
- where possible we try to get the child or family to send a thank you photo and or video to the generous people who have made a contribution to the child and their wish.
- we aim to make sure that everything we do is transparent as we are aware that there are fraudulent services out there. If you have any ideas on other things we can do to ensure that people feel comfortable with supporting these children's wishes then we would like to here from you.
- we prefer not to accept any funds unless we have children's wishes ready to be fulfilled.
- if you would like to make a significant contribution we are more than happy to come and meet you at a time and place convenient for you.
