A celebration of entrepreneurial excellence and enduring industry impact.

We are delighted to congratulate Lyndey Milan OAM, recipient of the WCEI Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the WCEI National Forum & Awards Gala in Hobart.

This award recognises a WCEI member who has demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial leadership, business success and industry impact, and Lyndey’s career is an exceptional example.

Over more than four decades, Lyndey has built a multifaceted business and personal brand spanning food, wine, television, publishing, consulting, speaking and culinary travel. Through Lyndey Milan Enterprises, she works as an award-winning food and wine specialist, presenter, author, consultant and international tour host, creating experiences and content that connect people through food, wine and culture.

Her work has reached audiences across Australia and internationally through nine television series and nine books. She was Food Director of The Australian Women’s Weekly for almost a decade, and her television series and publishing work have received international recognition, including Gourmand World Awards.

Just as importantly, Lyndey has used her experience to strengthen the industries around her. She has held senior leadership roles with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, championed Australian food and wine producers and co-founded Tasting Success, a mentoring program supporting female chefs.

Her career demonstrates entrepreneurship not as a single business venture, but as the ability to continually create new opportunities from deep expertise, strong relationships and an evolving understanding of the market.

We were thrilled to celebrate Lyndey and recognise the remarkable contribution she has made through her entrepreneurial journey.

Warmest congratulations to Lyndey Milan OAM on being named WCEI Entrepreneur of the Year.

Honouring two exceptional WCEI leaders.

At the WCEI National Forum & Awards Gala in Hobart, we were delighted to celebrate Jenny Hoysted and Robin Powis, recipients of the Dr. Noel Waite AO Award – WCEI Champion and Ambassador.

This distinguished award is named in honour of WCEI’s founder, Dr. Noel Waite AO, and celebrates excellence in advocacy and leadership, recognising a WCEI member who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in championing and advancing the mission of WCEI and FCEM.

There is something particularly special about recognising those who devote their leadership to strengthening the organisation around them. Jenny is past president of WCEI Victoria, and Robin is the current president of WCEI New South Wales. The recognition of their efforts goes well beyond their presidencies and reflects their contributions to the WCEI community with a remarkable depth of commitment, championing the values of WCEI and supporting its continued growth and influence.

Their contributions speak to the many ways leadership can leave its mark. Through advocacy, participation and a steadfast belief in the strength of the network, they have helped shape an organisation that continues to bring accomplished women together across Australia and around the world.

The award is a fitting recognition of the calibre of their contribution and the enduring value of their leadership.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Jenny Hoysted and Robin Powis on receiving the Dr. Noel Waite AO Award – WCEI Champion and Ambassador.

The annual WCEI Tasmania President’s Lunch was a celebration of leadership, shared history and the women who continue to bring their own experience and perspective to our community 🫶

Hosted by President Elect Eve Nelson at The Athenaeum Club, the afternoon paid tribute to the President’s Lunch as an enduring part of the WCEI Tasmania calendar, while also recognising the leadership transition 🪄 from Miriam Coleman to Eve Nelson ahead of September.

We were delighted to hear from special guest Kellie Wilkie, who is celebrating 25 years of BODYSYSTEM. Kellie shared her approach to values-led leadership and the importance of embedding those values throughout every part of a business 🗣️ Her reflections offered a thoughtful reminder of the responsibility that comes with leadership, and the courage it can take to remain true to the principles that guide us.

The afternoon also included the presentation of WCEI pins 🌸 to Dr Asha Ram and Sophie Ballagh, marking another lovely moment for our growing Tasmania community.

An occasion that brought together the past, present and future 🕯️ of WCEI Tasmania around one table

💡 WCEI Online Networking | Technology and AI in Business

Technology is continuing to transform the way we work, lead and grow, with artificial intelligence becoming an increasingly important part of business strategy and everyday operations.

On 26 August, our WCEI Online Networking session brings members together from across Australia for a practical exploration of Technology and AI in Business, hosted by WCEI National President Liz Ward.
https://www.trybooking.com/DOJLF

We are delighted to welcome Tracy Sheen CSP and Kelly Slessor as our room hosts.

Tracy will lead a practical discussion on AI governance, exploring where AI is already being used within businesses, the importance of clear guardrails and how organisations can develop simple, practical frameworks that work across every level.

Kelly will explore AI transformation, looking at how businesses can progress from using individual AI tools towards building AI agents and integrating AI more deeply across the organisation.

With decades of experience across technology, digital transformation, ecommerce and AI, Tracy and Kelly bring complementary perspectives on making emerging technology practical, purposeful and relevant to real businesses.

It is an opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, exchange ideas with fellow WCEI members and consider where AI could support the next stage of your business 🔐

🧀 French flavours, fabulous company and a très bon time in Brisbane.

A French Affair in Brisbane brought WCEI Queensland members and guests together at Little Provence 🥖 for a celebration of French-inspired cuisine, gracious hospitality and the joy of being in good company.

With plenty of laughter, lively exchanges and a touch of French flair 🍇 throughout, it was a wonderfully relaxed WCEI occasion that reflected the warmth and personality of our Queensland community.

Merci to everyone who brought such wonderful energy to the gathering. Une très belle occasion indeed, and a very happy memory for WCEI Queensland

I’m incredibly honoured to have received the Entrepreneur Award from Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI).

It was a privilege to be part of the WCEI Annual Forum & Gala Dinner, celebrating women who are leading, creating and making a difference across their industries and communities. An inspiring day of talks, panels and challenges to take on the uncomfortable discussions to be true to ourselves.

There is power in sharing knowledge, opening doors for others and creating opportunities through food, travel, mentoring and storytelling. To have that work recognised by such an inspiring group of entrepreneurial high-achieving women makes this award particularly special, more so at this stage of life.

A wonderful evening of celebration, inspiring speeches, great conversations and even better company. Congratulations to all of the remarkable women participating and recognised on the night. 🥂

Beneath Sydney’s streets, a remarkable collection of public art is transforming the experience of moving through the city. WCEI New South Wales presents an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Sydney Metro Public Art Program 🏙️ hosted by Kati Westlake, former lead of the programme.

https://www.trybooking.com/DOTWS

🚇 Across four distinctive stations, we will explore Gadigal, Waterloo, Martin Place and Victoria Cross, discovering the artistic vision, creative processes and stories behind works that have become part of Sydney’s newest civic spaces 🚉

Did you know...Gadigal Station was named by the Prix Versailles among the World’s Most Beautiful Passenger Stations for 2025. Announced each year at UNESCO, the Prix Versailles celebrates outstanding contemporary projects from around the world.

A beautifully curated afternoon for those with an appreciation for art, architecture, design and the stories woven into the city around us
