It’s bad enough when a government teaches its own children to see others as less than human. It’s worse when we allow that same normalisation to reach classrooms here in Australia.

Every other race, religion and community affected by violence: “Thoughts and prayers.”

This isn’t a natural disaster.
This isn’t flood, fire or cyclone relief.
This is taxpayer money being selectively allocated to one tragedy over others, to one minority group.

Australians fund this. All Australians.
Yet not all Australians are treated equally when tragedy strikes.

Maybe instead of compensation cheques after the fact, we invest properly in local security, police, paramedics and hospitals

Compassion shouldn’t come with a postcode, passport or religion.
