DNNSW is a not for profit organisation that is affiliated with Deaf Netball Australia (DNA) and
Deaf Sports Australia (DSA). We are a strongly committed group who want to encourage players and members to participate. There are many opportunities within the game, whether playing, umpiring, coaching or as an official, all play an important role. We focus on encouraging teams to improve by developin
g skills and fitness while promoting good fellowship among all who enjoy the game of netball. We collaborate well with other deaf netball states in Australia. There is an opportunity to play in yearly competitions such as the National
Deaf Netball Club Championships (NDNCC) and the Australian Deaf Games. The National Deaf Netball Club Championships (NDNCC) runs every year, except for the year of the Australian Deaf Games. To play at the NDNCC, the hearing level must be over 40db. The Margo Allen Shield Team Championships (MASTC) occurs in June each year. To enter the event this is open to netball players from all over New South Wales. To participate in the Australia Deaf Games and National Deaf Netball Club Championships, it is compulsory to pass the hearing level at least 40db in the better ear. It is our responsibility to ensure that the players meet the audio logical requirements. Gala Day events welcome both deaf and hearing participants to play. To participate in the Netball events, the eligible ages are;
• National Deaf Netball Club Championships (NDNCC) - 14 years and over
• Gala Day – youth and adults – 12 years of age and over
• Australian Deaf Games (held every four years) – 16 years and over. These events are for both women and mixed teams. We are a new hard working hard committee to hopefully bring you all the new and exciting information in the world of Deaf Netball. Your support is much appreciated! Thank you
