An extraordinary homecoming performance you won’t want to miss 🎹✨

Internationally acclaimed Australian pianist and Juilliard alumna Sarah Grunstein 75 returns to Melbourne and Sydney by popular demand for two exclusive, intimate performances of J.S. Bach’s monumental Goldberg Variations.

Hailed by The New York Times for her “penetrating musical intelligence,” and celebrated as a "shining light" among Bach pianists of this generation, Dr Grunstein brings her masterly, poetic, and deeply expressive interpretation back to Australian shores this October.

Many in our community will also recognize her as the talented young teenager behind the iconic soundtrack to Bruce Beresford’s classic Australian film The Getting of Wisdom.

Catch this rare chance to hear one of Australia’s finest international pianists live in concert:

Freezing outside today? You’re not the only one feeling it! 🥶

Back in 1982, students put pen to paper to describe the bite of the winter wind, the quiet grey sea, and the rush on the ski slopes.

Calling all Kambala Legal Old Girls! ⚖️✨

Our Year 11 Legal Studies students are eager to step beyond the classroom and get a firsthand look at the law in action - and we need our amazing Kambala network to help make it happen!

The school's Industry Immersion Program is looking to connect with legal firms willing to host Kambala students for short, impactful work experience placements (even a simple 2-day placement makes a world of difference).

🌟 Why Host a Kambala Student?
Seamless & Low-Maintenance: Kambala handles all Public Liability Insurance, Workplace Agreements, and Risk Management documentation.

Flexible Scheduling: We work around your team's workload - short, two-day placements (e.g., 10:00 am - 3:00 pm) work brilliantly.

Inspire the Next Generation: Help ambitious students - including high-achievers like Kathryn Lee and Amy Greenwood (pictured) - understand how modern legal practice and technologies like AI are shaping the future.

"While classroom theory provides a strong foundation, we are incredibly eager to gain practical insights and see how the law operates in a real-world firm... We are quick learners ready to actively observe, assist, and bring a proactive attitude to your workplace."
Kathryn & Amy, Year 11

📩 How to Get Involved
If you or your firm have the capacity to host driven students who are genuinely passionate about the law, we’d love to hear from you!

Connecting, Leading, and Inspiring in New York City! 🗽🇦🇺

Our Kambala Old Girls continue to make their mark on the global stage!

We are thrilled to share a wonderful update from New York City, where Jodie Relton '05, newly appointed Board Member of the American Australian Association (AAA) and proud KOG, recently reconnected with fellow Kambala alum Josephine Linden AM '69 and two current summer interns, Alice Malcolm '23 and Georgie B**r '21.

The AAA and LGS joint intern cohorts were treated to an incredible Fireside Chat featuring Steven Marshall AO (President of the AAA & Former Premier of South Australia) alongside Josephine, as they shared invaluable insights from their distinguished careers across government and business.

To cap off an extraordinary week, the group also had the rare privilege of sitting down for lunch and connecting with Andrew Liveris AO (President of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee, former Chair & CEO of Dow, and Chair of the AAA).

It is deeply inspiring to see our Kambala network thriving internationally and providing our young leaders with mentorship from prominent global figures.

✨ Generational Connections & Sweet Memories ✨

What a special morning celebrating our community on Kambala’s 139th Foundation Day!

On Friday, circa 60 KOG relations of current students gathered in the Harbour View Rooms for one of our very favourite annual KOG events, the Generations Morning Tea Party.

Despite the chilly morning, cups of tea and coffee and delcious KOG choc chip cookies and Treats by Pete cupcakes helped everyone warm up quickly.. 🧁☕

Highlights included:
Warm welcomes from KOG President Amanda (Baird) Kirton '88 & Principal Danvers
Recess visits from current students catching up with their alum relatives
An exclusive preview of our 2026 Alumni Oral Historians video: "What did a Kambala education give you?" 🎬
Beautiful floral gifts for some lucky guests by Petal Element Rose Bay 💐

Thank you to the KOG and Kambala Kambala Execo's and everyone who attended for making it such a fun and memorable morning 💕

139 years of Kambala, and 100 years of officially calling Tivoli ours last Friday! 🖤💛

While our school’s journey began back in 1887, everything changed when 50 students and the Misses Roseby stepped onto the Tivoli estate in 1913. But it was a century ago-on December 23, 1926-that the final papers were signed, securing Tivoli as the permanent heart of Kambala forever. 🏛️✨

For over a hundred years, Tivoli has been the silent witness to early mornings, lifelong friendships, and generations of young women finding their voice. No matter how much our campus grows, this place will always be the beating heart of our home.

Happy Anniversary, Kambala! 🎂🎈

A Special Day at the UN 🇺🇳
An exciting update from our Linden Global Strategies sisters in New York!

While it was yesterday by Australian clocks, the LGS interns and team members were busy experiencing a momentous "today" in New York City. The group was treated to a very special trip to the United Nations Headquarters, where they were welcomed as guests of the Permanent Mission of Australia to the UN.

The team was given an exclusive look at the inner workings of global diplomacy, taking in sights ranging from the historic Security Council Chamber to the iconic General Assembly.

It was a particularly memorable day for our current Linden Interns, Alice Malcolm '23 and Georgina B**r '21. They even had the chance to step into the delegates’ seats in the General Assembly and test out the earpieces-perhaps getting a taste of their future careers! 🎧✨

KOG celebrates the incredible life of Dr. Annabel Mary Wheeler (Valete, Class of 1964), who was an accomplished Australian botanist and biochemist who dedicated her career to the taxonomy and conservation of native flora.

After graduating from Kambala's Class of 1964, she earned her Ph.D. from the Australian National University and became a vital contributor to the CSIRO and the Australian Biological Resources Study, playing a foundational role in building the Australian Plant Census.

Outside the lab, she was an avid bushwalker, choral singer, and classical music broadcaster on Canberra’s ArtSound FM.

Kambala Old Girls is incredibly proud of Annabel's outstanding achievements and her lasting legacy in the scientific community. As her upcoming memorial service approaches in Canberra, we are sure this memorial and celebration of her remarkable life will be truly amazing.
