Throughout the 2026 Woolworths Small Change Appeal, customers and team members across NSW and the ACT have come together to support kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

Every $2 token, donation and checkout round up helps Variety provide practical support, including Sunshine Coaches that give students safe and inclusive access to school and community experiences.

For students like Luka, that means being able to travel safely and participate alongside their classmates.

For schools, it means creating more opportunities for students who may otherwise miss out.

Today is the final day to round up your purchase at Woolworths self-checkouts and support the Small Change Appeal.

Your spare change can help fund Variety Sunshine Coaches that give students safe and inclusive access to school excursions, sporting activities and community experiences.

Disability should not mean missing out.

Every child should have the chance to take part in school activities, community events and opportunities beyond the classroom.

At Kalinda School, a Variety Sunshine Coach has been thoughtfully customised to meet the needs of students who use wheelchairs, with modified seating to ensure everyone can travel safely and accessibly.

The school says the coach “opens up even more opportunities for our students to participate in a wide range of programs and activities within our community. The students and staff love it!”

Until 18 October, customers at Woolworths self-checkouts can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to Variety.

This National Carers Week, Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT recognises and celebrates the incredible people who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend.

This year’s theme, Care for a Carer: Making Carers Visible, is an important reminder that so much of what carers do can go unseen. A simple gesture can make a difference, whether it’s checking in, lending a hand or simply letting someone know they’re appreciated.

To all the carers, parents, family members and friends who support kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability, thank you for the care, kindness and love you give every day.

Helping make sure no student misses out. ❤️

Since receiving a Variety Sunshine Coach in 2025, Yandelora School has been able to provide more enriching educational experiences for over 100 students with additional learning needs.

The coach helps students access vital life skills programs and connect with mainstream schools, building confidence, fostering inclusion and strengthening their connection with the wider community.

The school says its Sunshine Coach “is not just a mode of transport; it is a gateway for our students to explore education beyond the school gate.”

For students like Luka, having access to safe and suitable transport means being able to take part in school life alongside their classmates.

A Variety Sunshine Coach helps students at Cecil Hills High School travel safely to excursions, swimming carnivals and community outings, giving them more opportunities to participate, build confidence and feel included.

From today until 20 October, every $2 token purchased or donation made at participating Woolworths stores across NSW and the ACT helps Variety provide practical support for kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

What an incredible day at Variety Spin 4 Kids Barangaroo. Thank you to every workplace team, rider, supporter, partner and volunteer who helped bring the energy. 🎉

Your teamwork, fundraising and community spirit raised more than $80,000 to support kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

Now we're aiming higher. Our stretch goal is $90,000 and every extra dollar means more kids get support this Christmas.
