Young Diplomats Society We empower the next generation of young leaders for the global stage. Led by young people, we produce publications, podcasts and events.

We provide young people with opportunities to engage with international affairs. As an organisation led by young people, we are proud to produce:

- Publications: We publish articles written by young people to bring meaningful and original ideas to the discussion of Australia's foreign policy and international relations.

- Events: We host regular events on global affairs with academics, experts a

nd professionals in the field.

- Podcast: Our podcast, Global Questions, is a weekly podcast for young people who want to know more about global affairs. We interview experts (such as Julian Burnside), dive deep into the news and interview young professionals for career advice.

And that’s a wrap. 🕊️🇦🇺

Delegates from across Australia came together at the University of Sydney for the National Youth Peace Summit 2026, stepping into a live negotiation on the Myanmar Civil War and working together to craft a peace treaty.

To every delegate who brought their ideas, perspectives and determination to the negotiating table — thank you for making the Summit what it was.

A highlight of the day was our Diplomatic Debrief, where delegates received direct feedback on their treaty from our keynote speaker and expert panellists:

The National Youth Peace Summit 2026 is just around the corner and we could not be more excited to see you there.

On the day, delegates from across Australia will come together to simulate real-world peace negotiations on the Myanmar Civil War (2021–Present), negotiating, building consensus, and crafting a live peace treaty before receiving direct expert feedback through our exclusive Diplomatic Debrief.

In partnership with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the University of Sydney, this is shaping up to be a truly special day.
