A great day of industry connection, knowledge sharing and professional development at Wenty Leagues.

As part of this year's Gaming Manager's Development Course (GMDC), participants had the opportunity to attend the Leagues Clubs Australia General Meeting, providing further exposure to the broader registered club industry and the issues, opportunities and conversations shaping the sector.

Following the meeting, attendees came together for a networking luncheon, providing another valuable opportunity for our GMDC participants to connect with industry leaders and colleagues.

Thank you to Wenty Leagues for hosting us and to our luncheon partners Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Treasury Wine Estates and Carlton & United Breweries for their support.

Another valuable opportunity to connect, learn and continue developing the next generation of leaders across our industry.

Every step is helping change lives.

Leagues Clubs Australia is proud to acknowledge the incredible efforts of Club Maitland City and the Mark Hughes Foundation as they continue to raise awareness and vital funds for brain cancer research.

This year, Club Maitland City CEO Ian Martin and Marketing & Community Manager Hayley Eveleigh will take on two extraordinary fundraising challenges, the Larapinta Trek and the Ladies to Everest Base Camp Trek, in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation.

These journeys are deeply personal and reflect the strength, resilience and generosity of those committed to making a difference for families impacted by brain cancer.

We wish Ian, Hayley and everyone taking part the very best as they prepare for their adventures, and thank Club Maitland City for its ongoing commitment to supporting such an important cause.

If you're able to support their fundraising efforts, every donation, no matter the size, helps fund vital brain cancer research and support services.

What an incredible community response at Ryde-Eastwood Leagues.

Over 50 people lined up for more than four hours to take advantage of free heart health checks, demonstrating the value of making preventative health services accessible within local communities.

Leagues Clubs Australia is proud to support this important work alongside our Community Partner, the Heartbeat of Football Foundation, which continues to raise awareness of heart health and the importance of early detection.

A special thank you to Ryde Eastwood Leagues for hosting the initiative, the Heartbeat of Football Foundation team for delivering the checks, and everyone who took the time to prioritise their health.

Together, clubs and community partners can help create healthier, stronger communities. ❤️

Leagues Clubs Australia is proud to support rugby league clubs across New South Wales and Queensland.

Licensed Clubs Round provides an important opportunity to bring our member clubs together and recognise the significant contribution they make to the game, from grassroots participation and community facilities through to the elite level.

Thank you to Tim Gilbert and the team at LeadStory for helping showcase the role licensed clubs play in supporting rugby league and the communities connected to it.

Leagues Clubs Australia is proud to partner with the StandbyU Foundation to help strengthen community safety and ensure no one faces life’s challenges alone.

Through the partnership, clubs can help vulnerable community members access a StandbyU Shield, a simple device that connects users with trusted family, friends, and support networks when help is needed.

The program complements existing local services addressing domestic violence, abuse and social isolation, while reinforcing the important role clubs play as safe, connected community hubs.

Clubs can also access practical training to help staff and community stakeholders recognise signs of domestic violence, have safe conversations and connect people directly with StandbyU for support.

The foundation continues to expand its work across the clubs industry through its Connected Community Clubs Program.

Barringtons is proud to announce our expanded partnership with Leagues Clubs Australia.

Together, we are strengthening support for registered clubs through practical, industry-led governance, compliance, risk management, and leadership solutions. From our Mandatory Director Training Suite to our Club Excellence Pathway (offering qualifications from Certificate IV to Graduate Diploma level), we are equipping the industry to build capable leaders and help clubs thrive in an increasingly complex operating environment.

"We are excited to continue working with Don, the Board and member clubs to support stronger governance, leadership, risk management and compliance capabilities across the industry. This is a partnership we have enjoyed for many years, and we are delighted to now include education as part of our sponsorship offering with Leagues Clubs Australia," said Jared Barry, Barringtons Managing Director.

Guided by our commitment to 'Best People, Best Practice, Best Choice', we are helping clubs build a stronger, more sustainable future through quality education, governance and compliance. We look forward to sharing further details in the coming weeks.
