By definition, a Young Planner is a person with no more than five years post-graduate experience in planning or a planning related field.

🏡 Torrens, Strata or Community Title — what’s the difference?

Subdivision isn’t just about drawing new boundary lines. The type of title can shape how land is owned, shared and managed long after a development is completed.

In this edition of PIA Buzzword, we break down three common title types in NSW:

🏡 Torrens Title — my land
🏢 Strata Title — my lot + our common areas
🌿 Community Title — my property + our shared estate

And for planners, there’s more to subdivision than title type. From lot size and access to servicing, site constraints and future development potential, there’s plenty to consider when assessing a subdivision proposal.
