When was the last time you updated your LinkedIn profile?
Really reading it from top to bottom and asking whether it still reflects you and what you actually do.
Businesses change. Our thinking changes. We get clearer about what we’re good at, the work we want and what we want people to know us for.
But our LinkedIn profiles. Well they are often neglected wastelands with out of date info just because you don't use it.
What a missed opportunity.
You already know every time you meet someone new, or someone refers you they will google you. And you know they check out your website and your LinkedIn.
But it's not just people now. It's the AI tools too.
And LinkedIn holds lots of weight.
A recent Meltwater report found LinkedIn has become a significant source in AI-generated answers.
What caught my attention was that 75% of those LinkedIn citations came from people, rather than brand pages.
That’s quite a stat.
It means your profile and the things you talk about help build the wider picture of what you know and what you do.
One piece of the puzzle in getting found.
So you may as well tell YOUR story in the way YOU want to, so that more of the right people find you.
Ask yourself, if someone landed on your page, do they get you and why they should talk to you?
YES? Big gold star for you.
NO? Why not?
If you don't want to post all the time but still want to get found, it's time to refresh your LinkedIn profile.
