Last Friday, we had the privilege of bringing our community together with Usman Khawaja for a conversation that went far beyond cricket.

Usman spoke openly about faith, identity, resilience and the choices that have shaped who he is: reminding our young people that they don’t have to leave their values behind to pursue big ambitions.

There were laughs, questions, signed cricket gear and plenty of memorable moments, but it was the conversations that made the evening so special.

Thank you to Salaam Australia, Unity Grammar, Unity Institute, Talal Yassine, Massilia Aili and Usman Khawaja for helping us create a night our community will remember.

This is what Salaam Institute is about, creating spaces for our community to learn, connect and see what’s possible 🤍

Talal spills the tea ☕

Over 25 years, Prof. Talal Yassine AM has ended up in rooms most people only read about - across business, government and community, alongside global leaders and changemakers.

None of those rooms opened by accident. And none of them required pretending to be someone else.

Here's what he learned about building a real network 👇

Be curious, not impressive - the most powerful person in the room is usually the most interested, not the most interesting.

Listen like it matters - presence beats polish every time.

Follow up, every time - a conversation with no follow-up is just a nice memory.

Be worth knowing - networking isn't working a room, it's becoming someone worth remembering.

He's sharing the rest - the real, practical version - at his masterclass on Wednesday 6 August.

Everyone says property builds wealth but do you really know how?

Or more importantly, what mistakes quietly cost people tens of thousands along the way?

That's exactly what Abdullah Nouh will unpack in our next Salaam Institute Masterclass. As Founder of Mecca Property Group, Abdullah has overseen $350M+ in property acquisitions, helping families, SMSFs and high-net-worth investors navigate the property market with confidence.

Whether you're looking to buy your first investment or grow your portfolio, this masterclass will give you the confidence to make informed decisions.
