What an inspiring week diving into London’s dynamic and innovative philanthropic landscape! 🇬🇧
🌟 Highlights:
Building meaningful connections with passionate, driven peers in the philanthropic sector.
Immersing myself fully in the world of philanthropy—discovering fresh perspectives and ideas to elevate the sector.
Learning from the successes and challenges of the UK philanthropic space and finding ways to refine and strengthen Australia’s approach through shared insights.
💡 Three key takeaways:
1️⃣ The joy of giving. It’s the core of this journey and the fuel for making a meaningful impact.
2️⃣ Collaboration is essential. No matter where we are—UK, USA, NZ, Australia ect…—we face similar challenges. By working together and sharing global insights, we can drive the change we want to see.
3️⃣ Trust and openness empower change. Supporting organisations with transparency and encouragement helps them thrive and amplify their incredible work in our communities.

At Sheargold Foundation, we’re committed to supporting our community and addressing pressing issues. With the rise in domestic and family violence, it’s essential to take action. That’s why we’re proud to support our newest grantee,

Mary’s House is a Not-for-profit organisation that provides safety, support, and independence for women and children affected by domestic violence. They offer essential accommodation, comprehensive case management, and tailored services to help families rebuild their lives. Since opening, they’ve provided over 13,000 nights of refuge and expanded with the Daisy Centre, offering therapeutic programs to further empower women on their journey away from abuse.
