We encompass members studying business stats, maths stats, bio stats, economics and even psychology and marketing since we all share the interest in statistical analysis. Running surveys both onlin
e and by setting up stalls in key locations on main campus. The questions asked will be based on ideas submitted by members, from the USU and perhaps Uni publications.
2. Information on career opportunities for statistics interested students will also be supplied through our website as well as careers events. StatSoc will be communicating with most of the top employers of statisticians such as the ABS.
3. StatSoc will also be running regular social gatherings for members. At the moment this entails fortnightly drinks at University bars. These offer a great chance to chillax after a hard week of stats. By becoming a member you will regularly receive our e-newsletter, can submit survey question ideas to us and be given the opportunity to help us out in running the surveys. A fortnightly newsletter will communicate to our members the social activities we undertake, careers information collected and information about polling activities. Be someone who counts
