In June 2003 - I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak on the steps of Belfast Town Hall - to a crowd of Northern Irish supporters of Special Olympics, outlining the support that Law Enforcement personnel from around the world, including as far away as Australia would be giving to athletes involved in the 2003 World Summer Games (Dublin) … this Final Leg event was instrumental in founding and increasing LETR involvement for Special Olympics around the world.. including Australia !! Today I was back there on holiday, but reminiscing about the significance of that FINAL LEG event, and the many good things that came out of it for Special Olympics athletes worldwide… 🇮🇪🍀🙂🇦🇺

Proving that LETR is truly an international brotherhood, Scott Whyte and Alan Keane today found Gary Gordon (LETR - Ireland) and dragged him away from his work at Kilkenny, to pose for photos, make bad jokes and point at him. He took it all in good humour - I think 🤔 - beers to come 🍻

We travelled down to the NSW Police Academy today to meet up with Class 368 and challenge them to see how fast they could pull the Bearcat Tactical Vehicle.

Sixteen teams competed with Tutorial Group PAPA coming out on top.
