Warrane College UNSW

Warrane College UNSW Warrane is a residential college supporting personal and professional excellence with a focus on forming young men into leaders.

Warrane provides academic mentoring, sporting opportunities, professional development, and life-long friendships. Since its foundation in 1970, Warrane College has been a home away from home for thousands of young men studying at university. As a resident you will be encouraged to strive for excellence. You will also be encouraged to serve the society in which you live, a community that one day yo

u will lead. Warrane promotes an atmosphere that is compatible with the development of good habits. The College believes that sustaining the right environment is necessary for personal growth. The environment of Warrane resembles that of a Christian home, and residents agree to respect the College's ethos and live up to a high standard of behaviour. We are committed to challenging our residents to widen their horizons and become men of character. Warrane College is a project of Education Development Association, a not-for-profit company and a registered charity. The College Council has entrusted the pastoral care of the College to Opus Dei, an institution of the Catholic Church.

Wednesday night, we welcomed UNSW Vice-Chancellor Professor Attila Brungs for our annual Scholars Dinner, celebrating the outstanding academic achievements of our residents.

We are proud to share that 50% of Warrane students achieved a Distinction or High Distinction average across the 2025 academic year — a reflection of their hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

Thank you to Professor Brungs and the team at UNSW for joining us in recognising and encouraging academic achievement within our community.
