During a recent visit to northern England, Youthworks CEO Craig Roberts trained youth and children’s ministers in building a culture of intergenerational discipleship. He also met with Rev Francis Olaniyi, who pastors a Nigerian expat church in the area, and Lizzie Head, Trinity Church Youth Minister, to explore how to establish an LIT training pathway for senior high youth in North England, equipping them with confidence and tools to understand and communicate the Bible faithfully.

It's a privilege for Youthworks to equip leaders and strengthen local churches for long-term gospel growth, both in Australia and globally!

Last night, Youthworks College hosted the Theology Think Tank - When Young People Leave Church.

Dr Ruth Lukabyo opened up a conversation many in ministry are quietly wrestling with. Presenting research from over 2,000 surveys and case studies, Ruth unpacked the trends behind church disengagement, the reasons young people are walking away, and where their faith and spiritual lives are landing today.

What followed was an evening of honest, engaged, and deep conversation - exactly the kind we need to be having if we care about sharing the gospel with the next generation.

From the keynote through to the workshop, the room was full of ministry workers, practitioners, educators, and leaders willing to sit with hard questions. That's encouraging.

This is just the beginning of these conversations as we seek to engage the hearts of young people with the gospel.
