FROM TESLA TO TOMORROW - With Jon McNeill

Last week, through our strategic partnership with WOBI :: World of Business Ideas, we hosted an exclusive Spend The Night With fireside chat against the backdrop of Sydney’s stunning harbour views at The Great Room, One O’Connell, bringing together a room of entrepreneurs and executives for an unforgettable discussion with one of the world’s most innovative business leaders.

Guest of honour Jon McNeill, former President of Tesla and COO of Lyft, spoke with Miwako Bishop, Creative Director at The Great Room, sharing how he scaled Tesla from $2 billion to $20 billion in just three years. He also revealed his leadership values, strategies for scaling companies, and tips for building high-performing teams — all just hours before his keynote at the World Business Forum the next day.

The conversation sparked dynamic discussions among attendees, offering practical takeaways for anyone looking to drive growth and foster innovation in their organisation.

What an inspiring two days at the World Business Forum Sydney!

We were a proud Official WOBI :: World of Business Ideas Partner 2025, bringing together our community of business leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs at the ICC Sydney on 11–12 November.

Over two days, our Connection Lounge became a centrepiece for meaningful conversations, new connections, and a well-deserved coffee break amid the buzz of ideas and inspiration.

This year, WOBI brought world-class speakers to the stage, including Michael Phelps, celebrated Olympian, Guy Kawasaki, Apple evangelist, and Amy Edmondson, leadership scholar at Harvard Business School. Our very own Marina Dietz had the honour of introducing Jon McNeill, former President of Tesla and COO of Lyft, to a packed audience of organisations and business leaders, setting the scene for his highly anticipated keynote, where he shared invaluable insights on Tesla’s formula for success, scaling businesses, and driving innovation.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, connected with us, and made those two days a success.

A Toast to a Vibrant New Chapter 🥂

Last Thursday, we opened our doors to celebrate the opening of The Great Room, One O’Connell, our newest home in the heart of Sydney’s CBD with a tea party affair featuring cocktails, canapes, and the timeless strains of violin and oboe. Live illustrations captured picture-perfect moments, adding an artistic flourish to the evening.

Set across two levels with 2,400 sqm of stunning workspace, One O’Connell is designed to inspire, with sweeping city views, luxurious lounges, and thoughtfully designed offices made for collaboration, focus, and community.
