Use your grant writing skills to help communities stay connected, safe and resilient.
Across regional and remote Australia, small community organisations are supporting wellbeing, strengthening connection, and preparing for times of crisis. Right now, they need skilled volunteers to help unlock funding so they can keep going.
At Australian Business Volunteers (ABV), we have three immediate grant writing opportunities where your expertise can make a tangible difference:
👉 Ridgelands, QLD – Community Hall Committee
Help a rural community upgrade their local hall so it can function as a safe place of refuge during floods and disasters. When roads are cut off, this hall becomes a lifeline—for connection, care, and recovery.
👉 Orbost, VIC – Neighbourhood House
Support a vital community hub navigating change while continuing to deliver programs for older people, vulnerable residents, and those at risk of isolation.
👉 East Gippsland, VIC – First Nations Organisation (Moogji Aboriginal Council)
Work alongside a community-led organisation delivering culturally grounded programs that strengthen healing, identity, and social and emotional wellbeing.
These are flexible, online volunteer roles where you’ll:
- Identify and develop funding opportunities
- Turn real community needs into compelling grant narratives
- Build lasting capability so organisations can secure funding into the future
We’re also recruiting for additional roles soon, so if this speaks to you, we encourage you to get in touch.
