Love Your Sister has been an extraordinary supporter of Omico and of in Australia.

The LYS community has helped make comprehensive genomic profiling and treatment matching more accessible for people with cancer, including those in regional, rural and remote communities.

We’re deeply grateful for their ongoing support, advocacy and determination to help more Australians access precision oncology in an equitable and timely way, while also building understanding that it may be an option worth exploring.

Together, we share a goal: reaching more people, no matter their postcode or financial circumstances, with access to personalised cancer care informed by the biology of their tumour.

Thank you, Love Your Sister, Sam, Lucy and every person and business who has contributed to this work. 💙

The bulk of our collected pennies, over many years now, have gone to Omico, for Genomic Oncology. $6 million to bring their world-class genomic testing and treatment matching to regional rural and remote areas all over the country. It wasn’t a poultry sum of money and it wasn’t an easy decision to hand over so many of the dollars you have donated over the years. But we knew there aren’t many better mobs to trust than David Thomas and his crew at OMICO.

The program has been a success, beyond any reasonable projection and it’s proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that it’s a worthwhile investment in the health of Australians. It would seem that someone must agree with me, because OMICO has recently secured $71 Million in funding to keep the program going, that we helped get into these RRR areas.

We will always fight for Precision Oncology (primarily through Garvan, the CCIA and Omico) until Precision Oncology becomes ‘standard of care’ for every cancer patient, in every postcode. When that happens, I will stop screaming from the rafters, buy a hammock and order fancy cocktails from my Michael Caine soundalike butler, whilst I stifle my inner harrumph. 🤣

Together we are strongerongerer.

Our recent Omico Town Hall happened to fall on ☕️

Every few weeks, our team comes together for a Town Hall - connecting people across clinical programs, operations, partnerships, data, technology, finance and communications to stay aligned around the work we’re doing.

💙 These touchpoints matter. They help strengthen teamwork, transparency and shared purpose across our national precision oncology programs, and keep patients at the centre of what we do.

Today’s meeting just happened to include a few extra cups of tea. ☕️

The newest precision oncology treatments are almost always first accessed through clinical trials.

For Australians facing advanced, incurable or poor prognosis cancer, access to biomarker-led clinical trials can open the door to additional treatment options tailored to the biology of their cancer, with the potential to improve patient outcomes.

That’s why Omico’s * initiative combines comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP), treatment matching and a national clinical trials network, helping identify relevant precision oncology trials that may be suitable for individual patients.

Cancer affects almost every family in some way.

This public event offers the chance to better understand how cancer care is changing—from earlier detection to more personalised treatments—and what these scientific breakthroughs could mean for the future.

Free, in-person event on 28 May, open to everyone.

Cancer is changing. But so is the way we find and fight it.

Medical advances and new technologies are transforming how we detect and treat cancer, but how do we ensure these changes benefit everyone?

Join us for Cancer Reimagined: The Future of Precision Care, an evening exploring the innovations reshaping cancer care, and what it takes to turn scientific breakthroughs into better, more equitable health outcomes for all.

Cancer care is changing, fast.

But turning scientific breakthroughs into real-world outcomes for patients is the work that matters.

Who benefits?
And how do we make sure it’s not just for some, but for everyone?

Free, in-person event on 28 May, open to everyone.

Continued access to precision oncology via PrOSPeCT—secured.

More time. More options. More certainty.

That’s what this Federal Budget decision means for Australians facing advanced and incurable cancer.

$71 million has been committed to continue PrOSPeCT through to 2028/29, ensuring access for 25,000 additional Australians to comprehensive genomic profiling and treatment matching, at no cost.

On behalf of patients and families, we congratulate the Government on this important investment.

At 29, Nathan was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

📰 The Sun-Herald recently shared his story - an example of what precision oncology can make possible.

Through Omico’s Cancer Screening Program (CaSP), Nathan underwent comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) and treatment matching. CGP identified a biomarker in his cancer that was not identified through standard testing, enabling his clinician to match him to a therapy that would otherwise not have been considered - treatment that has since helped him become cancer-free.

💙 Today, he is working full-time, and he and his wife are expecting their first child.

For people with incurable or advanced cancer, this matters.
Omico's programs provide access to CGP and treatment matching at no cost, helping identify therapies and clinical trials matched to the biology of a patient’s cancer, options that may otherwise remain unknown.

This is what precision oncology can make possible.
The next step is making this approach routine for all who can benefit, not the exception.
