COMMUNITY CALL OUT — WE NEED COOKED MEALS 💜🧡

For the first time in quite a while, we’re heading into this week without any of our beautiful community cooks, and we need some help to make sure everyone is fed at our Woolloomooloo service this Wednesday.

Could you cook and donate a meal?

It doesn’t have to be huge — one tray, one pot, 10 meals, 20 meals… whatever you can manage. Every meal adds up and makes a difference. 😇

🍲 COOKED MEALS
• Drop off in Warriewood on Tuesday — cooked and ready for us to safely store
• Or delivered hot and ready to serve on Wednesday afternoon

🍰 DESSERTS
Desserts are also very welcome and can be dropped off in Warriewood anytime between now and Wednesday.

PLEASE MESSAGE US BEFORE DROPPING OFF SO WE CAN ARRANGE A TIME. 🧡

This is one of those weeks where we really need our community around us. Every tray, every meal and every person who puts their hand up to help means someone will have a warm meal waiting for them on Wednesday — and together, that’s how we keep changing one life at a time with kindness. 💜🧡

💜 This is what community looks like 🧡

Over the last few weeks, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of connecting with the beautiful team at Ray White Mona Vale, including the gorgeous Jo and Melissa.

A few days ago, Melissa reached out because she had some beautiful sliced sourdough loaves left over — and instead of letting them go to waste, she thought of AOK.

Those loaves came to us and were able to go straight back out into our community, into the hands of families and people doing it tough.

It might seem like a simple act, but to us, this is how something much bigger begins. It’s local people and local businesses noticing what they have, thinking about who might need it, and finding a way to connect the two.

A huge thank you to Melissa, Jo and the Ray White Mona Vale team for opening your hearts to what we do and already looking for ways you can be part of it. We are so grateful to have you joining our little AOK community. 💜🧡

Because when a community looks out for one another, even a loaf of bread can become an act of kindness — and together, that’s how we keep changing one life at a time with kindness.

Feeling incredibly grateful to be nominated for the 2026 7NEWS Community Achievement Awards. 💜🧡

My name might be on the nomination, but this belongs to six years of AOK — every volunteer, supporter and person who has trusted us enough to let us into their lives.

Food has always been the excuse. Kindness, dignity and connection are what AOK is really about.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and who continues to help us do what we set out to do six years ago — change one life at a time with kindness. 💜🧡

Your feet are your transport. 👟❤️

For many of the people we support experiencing homelessness, walking is how they get everywhere — so a decent pair of shoes can mean more than you might imagine.

A huge thank you to and our beautiful friends at Coogee Run Club, who continue to collect their pre-loved running shoes and pass them on to AOK with plenty of life still left in them.

Tonight, Earth Angel George brought another beautiful collection down to our Woolloomooloo service. 😇

One person’s old runners can truly be another person’s treasure. 💞

Thank you, Coogee Run Club, for continuing to walk alongside us in kindness.

We talk a lot at AOK about making sure people feel seen.

But sometimes, they see us too. 💜🧡

During one of our services at Woolloomooloo, came up to me and said, “Sister, I have a poem I’d like to say to you.”

It was a poem he had written many years ago.

Not for me.

But for some reason, that night, he saw me in those words.

He saw something in the way I live, in what I believe matters, and in why I keep turning up — and he wanted to share those words with me.

And I don’t think he will ever really know what that meant.

We spend so much of our time trying to make sure the people who come to our services know that they matter. That they are known. That they are valued for who they are, not for what they have or where they might be sleeping that night.

But connection doesn’t only travel in one direction.

Sometimes the person you came to see, sees you.

Sometimes the person you came to remind of their worth, reminds you of yours.

And sometimes someone looks beyond everything else and simply says, in their own way, I see you. I understand you.

There is something incredibly powerful about being truly understood and accepted by another human being.

Those moments give us something too.

They fill us back up. They remind us why we turn up again next week, and the week after that.

Thank you, Gumaroy, for seeing me.

And thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful words. 💞

Maybe this is what changing one life at a time with kindness really looks like.

THIS is what Sunday looks like at AOK 💜🧡

Everything you see here was rescued from going to waste — and it’s all FREE.

Fresh fruit and vegetables. Bread. Flowers. Beautiful food and produce, available every Sunday for Northern Beaches families who need a little extra support and local cooks who can turn rescued food into meals for others 😇

No cost. No catch. Just good food being rescued and put where it belongs — back into our community, not into the bin.

Because sometimes changing one life at a time with kindness is as simple as rescuing what would have been thrown away and putting it into the hands of someone who can use it. 💜🧡

Sometimes the people who believe in what you do open doors you didn’t even know were there. 💗

We want to say a very big THANK YOU to and Coca-Cola 😇

Kate took the time to put AOK forward for a Coca-Cola community grant — and because she did, we were incredibly fortunate to receive $5,000 to support the work we do.

For a small organisation like ours, $5,000 is significant.

It helps us keep rescuing food, cooking and serving hundreds of meals, supporting families who are struggling, and most importantly, continuing to show up for people who need someone in their corner.

Every dollar takes a little pressure off and allows us to put more of our energy into the people standing in front of us.

Kate, thank you for believing in AOK enough to put our name forward. You created this opportunity for us, and we are incredibly grateful.

And to Coca-Cola Australia, thank you for choosing to support grassroots organisations like ours and for investing in the communities we serve.

This $5,000 will be put to very good use — but its impact will reach far beyond the dollar amount.

Because that’s how kindness works. One person opens a door. Another chooses to help. And that support reaches someone who really needs it.

That’s how, together, we keep changing one life at a time with kindness. 💜🧡

From all of us at AOK 💖 Kate and Coca-Cola Australia — thank you.

💜 DOUBLE THE KINDNESS. DOUBLE THE IMPACT. 🧡

Something pretty incredible is happening for AOK right now.

Morgans Mona Vale and the Morgans Foundation are matching every donation to AOK, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

That means your $20 becomes $40.
Your $50 becomes $100.
Your $500 becomes $1,000.

And for a small organisation like ours, that is HUGE.

Morgans Mona Vale has chosen to get behind AOK and the work we do every single week — rescuing food, feeding hundreds of people, supporting local families and creating a place where people know they matter.

Their support gives our community the chance to turn $10,000 into $20,000 for AOK.

We are incredibly grateful to the team at Morgans Mona Vale and the Morgans Foundation for believing in what we do and giving us this opportunity.

So if you’ve ever thought about supporting AOK, right now your kindness goes twice as far. 💗

Every dollar matters. Every dollar is doubled.

Double the Kindness. Double the Impact.
