The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) invites nominations for the 2026 ADS Lifetime Achievement Award. Selection of the nominee is made on the basis of the candidate’s significant, fundamental contributions to diabetes (whether in research, clinical practice, leadership, mentorship or other), the lasting impact of these contributions to the sector, and the demonstration of a lifetime commitment to diabetes.

The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) invites nominations for the 2026 ADS Jeff Flack Diabetes Data Award for an Australian researcher who has made an outstanding contribution to Diabetes data collection in Australia.

At least one of the Nominator/s must be an ADS member and nominations can be self-initiated or initiated by colleagues. The award includes a $5,000 honorarium together with a commemorative plaque.

The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) and Diabetes Australia (Kellion Advisory Council) invite applications for the 2026 ADS Kellion Award for an Australian who has demonstrated innovative leadership and has made an outstanding and highly original contribution to the advancement of knowledge in diabetes research, excellence in education, advocacy, clinical standards or services of care in diabetes in Australia.

Nominations may be self-initiated, initiated by colleagues or by organisations. The award includes a return business class airfare to the 2026 IDF-WPR & ADC & MBD, accommodation for the duration of the meeting, full congress registration, and a commemorative plaque. The award also includes a $10,000 honorarium.

The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) invites applications for the 2026 ADS Ranji and Amara Wikramanayake Clinical Diabetes Research Award from endocrinology/diabetes clinicians who are members of the ADS and are up to 20 years’ post-doctoral degree or equivalent.

This mid-career award has been made possible by the generosity of the late Dr Ranji Wikramanayake, who was a long-standing member of the ADS. The award is to recognise significant contributions to diabetes research by a clinician and to support further advancement of those achievements. Applications can be nominated by financial members of the ADS or by self-nomination. The award is for $50,000 together with a commemorative plaque.
