You can't always believe what you hear 👂

While there are valid concerns about va**ng and smoking, in reality, most young Australians are actually making positive choices and choosing not to use ni****ne products!

💪 Through education young people are becoming more informed and empowered to make healthier and safer choices.

That's why "unmasking the appeal" is so important this World To***co Day - and every day.

Continuing to share evidence-based information and creating supportive environments to have open conversations is essential to challenging misconceptions and reducing risk.

We asked young people from across Australia to bring their answers to life through art and the submissions were insightful, clever and incredibly moving.

This became the foundation of our Reconciliation Action Plan artwork. We’re so grateful to Gabby from Coolamon Creative for bringing it all together.

🌱 This artwork illustrates balance and a harmonious relationship with land, sea and country.

🌅 The waterholes, fish, bush tucker and landscape represent elements of all of Australia.

👥 At the centre, we have people, living and growing on country.

It represents why we are all in for reconciliation.

It is a commitment to continuing to work together towards an Australia that is strengthened by our willingness to acknowledge and learn from the past, grow in respect for each other, and ensure the rights and voices of First Nations and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard 🙌

The earlier children begin to learn about complex issues, the more opportunities they will get to practice making positive choices.

🔑 This is the key to health prevention. In underserved, remote and regional communities, this can change and save young lives.
