Avast ye! Are ye lookin' to find yer voice and bury those public speakin' jitters for good? Then weigh anchor and join us for a night of high-seas adventure at our Pirate-Themed Meeting!

Whether you're a seasoned captain of the podium or a landlubber lookin’ to find your sea legs, everyone is welcome to join our crew for a night of laughs, learning, and legendary tales.

• When: Monday, 18 May
• Time: 7:15 PM (19:15) sharp!
• Where: Engadine Community Centre (Our usual port of call)
• Theme: Pirates! (Eye patches, hooks, and "Arrrghs" highly encouraged!)

• Swashbuckling Speeches: Hear our members spin yarns and deliver prepared toasts.
• Table Topics from the Deep: Think fast or walk the plank in our impromptu speaking session!
• A Friendly Crew: We don’t bite (unless you’re a shark). Our club is a supportive, fun environment to grow your confidence.
Visitors are welcome! You don't need to be a member to join the fun—just bring your sense of adventure and maybe a parrot for your shoulder.

1. Conquering the "Glossophobia" (Fear of Public Speaking)

This is the big one. Toastmasters provides a safe, low-stakes environment to face the fear of standing in front of an audience. By doing it repeatedly in a supportive room, the paralyzing anxiety is replaced by manageable excitement.
