20/8/2026 -Can you support our brave boy Toby with a donation to help with his eye treatment?

Our beautiful boy Toby has a chronic, fluctuating eye problem. His eye runs, gets inflamed and irritated. Toby was a good boy at the vet today.
He had a respiratory panel and tear duct test. We will get the results on Monday 24th. He will need to go back to the vet for follow up next week. He may need to see an ophthalmologist, depending on test results.

Vet costs for today's visit: $515 and possibly more costs to come for further treatment.
We are battling to cover our ongoing hospital bills for Choo Choo who remains in Medical boarding and Ronin's ongoing diabetic needs as well as the daily care of all our pets. We really appreciate the support we receive from our caring supporters 💖

🐾 URGENT MEDICAL APPEAL: HELP SNOWY HEAL 🐾
This is beautiful Snowy. 🤍 He was found last year huddled under a house with his abandoned mum and siblings, fighting just to survive.
Tragically, Snowy was suffering from a badly ruptured eye that was causing him immense pain. To save his life, we organised emergency treatment and eventually gave him the needed surgery to remove the eye.
Snowy is now healing safely in a loving Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption foster home! Despite everything he has been through, he is incredibly friendly, loves his cuddles, and is learning how wonderful humans can be as he gets socialised.
🏥 WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP
Snowy’s life-saving surgery and ongoing medical care have put a massive strain on our charity's funds. As a small rescue, we rely entirely on kind hearts like yours to pay these expensive vet bills.

😀GOOD NEWS re Removal of the $2 donation threshold😀

The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) advised that -
From 1 July 2026, the minimum $2 threshold for claiming a tax deduction on gifts and donations made to deductible gift recipients (DGRs) has been removed. This change is backdated and applies to all eligible gifts and donations made from 1 July 2024. It does not apply to political donations.

This is a great opportunity for all our loyal supporters and followers to become a 'Pocket change Donor' by regularly donating $1 or $2 and claiming as a tax deduction. If everyone is able to donate either amount as a regular fortnightly or monthly donation it would give us a predictable source of income. In these hard times it would be easy on your pockets and a great help to keep us afloat.

♻️Spread the Word ♻️ We are now set up for Return & Earn 😺 Please consider selecting us as your preferred charity when you return your eligible bottles and cans to Return & Earn Centre.

❓How to set up your payout to Sydney Pet Rescue on your smartphone.
1. Open your Return and Earn App.
2. Go to the Charities tab.
3. Search for "Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption".OR by the campaign name 'Help sick rescued pets'
4. Tap their name and select Set as Payout.
5. When you go to the machine, scan your app's barcode first.
6. Load your bottles and cans, then press Transfer on the screen when finished.

You can also drop off your cans/bottles in our Purple Return & Earn bin at Sylvania and check out our Pot & Plant Sale at the same time. 👍Every 10c will go towards our ongoing care of our furbabies.
