I’ve been notified that “some” farmers may turn up to Canberra Parliament House on the 17th of September in their trucks, tractors etc…
So I’ve decided to cancel the bus from Sydney.
I’m really sorry but I don’t want to be responsible for other people and what could possibly detract from the reason Andrew Wilkie is taking this petition to parliament.
Anyone who donated toward the bus, if you would like your donation back, please contact me and I’ll send your donation back to you.
There are a number of people who have decided to drive to Canberra anyway, I cannot stop that and I do appreciate the support but if anything were to happen, I’d feel so bad.
I hope you can understand 😢

Even this woman states some abattoirs have closed down, that’s testament to the fact Live Animal Export takes jobs from Australians. An abattoir can employ up to 200 people, then there are refrigeration technicians, suppliers of boxes, bags, machinery..
An abattoir closure impacts more than just the abattoir workers.
If they want meat, it must be frozen.

This I believe is spot on, I believe that Live Animal Export ships create a massive impact in degrading our reefs, oceans, marine life, waterways, and all creatures within these bodies of water.

Fact⬇️

Landholder groups and regional politicians have condemned an activist advertising campaign in South Korea accusing Australian beef production of destroying the Great Barrier Reef, saying it unfairly and inaccurately attacks Australian producers in one of the nation's most important beef export marke...

SEPTEMBER 17 – THIS IS THE DAY TO STAND UP
September 17 is a critical day for Australia’s animals — and we need you there.
On this day, Member of Parliament Andrew Wilkie will be formally presented with the Stand Against Live Animal Export Change.org petition, which has now reached an incredible 460,390 signatures demanding an end to the live animal export industry.
We are calling on supporters to come to Parliament House, Canberra, for the 11:00 am presentation. This is the most important moment of the day, and we need a strong, visible presence to show the media and decision-makers that Australians will not accept this cruelty any longer. Some supporters may also stay to witness the petition being tabled in Parliament, but the presentation itself is the key focus.
New banners have been ordered specifically for this event and will be displayed during the presentation to Andrew Wilkie in front of the media. A large turnout will send a clear and undeniable message: Australians want live animal export ended.
If you can possibly be in Canberra, please do not stay home. These animals need you there.

URGENT – TRANSPORT FROM SYDNEY
I am organising transport from Sydney Central Railway Station, departing 6:45–7:00 am sharp.
After the presentation at Parliament House, the bus will return to Sydney, with a possible stop at the Airport Shopping Mall for lunch, arriving back in Sydney at approximately 4:30–5:00 pm.
We must confirm numbers immediately to secure the correct vehicle — either a minibus or a coach. Seats will only be guaranteed based on early confirmation, so please respond as soon as possible if you intend to travel.

I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
● You want a seat on the bus
● You are definitely attending at Parliament House
● You are even considering coming
Even a “maybe” helps me plan — but I need to know urgently.
Accurate numbers are essential for transport booking, banner preparation, and coordination with Andrew Wilkie’s team and media.

Please share this widely. Every extra person at Parliament House strengthens the message that compassion is louder than cruelty.

On Thursday the 17th of September, myself and Andrew Wilkie will meet at Parliament House Canberra so I can present the Stand Against Live Animal Export Change.org petition to Andrew. Change.org and Andrew Wilkie will have media coverage of this as this is the largest signed petition Change.org in Australia have seen.🧡🖤

At 10:30 I will present the 40 - 50 volumes to Andrew and at 1:30, Andrew will table the 460,000+ strong petition to end ALL Live Animal Export.
I’m currently trying to organise a bus to get people from Central Station, Sydney to Parliament House, Canberra. It would be ideal to have some people there to show their support for the animals.

If you or anyone you know may be able to make it to Canberra for the 17th of September, it would be wonderful for the government and the media to see us Stand Against Live Animal Export supporters out in force.
If anyone is considering catching the bus, PLEASE let me know asap, I’m currently getting quotes for the bus, the bus will be free. I’ve had some donations but I’m willing to put the extra in so people are not out of pocket.
You can contact me via [email protected] or 0435 798 270.

If they can freeze meat on a price point issue, they can accept frozen meat on an animal abuse issue.
This proves that countries will accept frozen carcasses and meat..
Julie Collins need to be aware that “frozen meat” must be the only option for all countries.

As imports from Australia hit a wall because of large tariffs, China turns to its historically high stockpile of frozen beef.
