Brazilian Aid is a not for profit organization focused to increase volunteering opportunities for individuals and organizations, spreading sense of belonging and multiculturalism. Immigrants have always been a fundamental part of Australia’s community and economy and we promote, through our leadership and colla

boration, to increase the early engagement of immigrants with the broad Australian community. Brazilian Aid was founded with the objective of facilitating the participation of the Brazilian community on the Bushfire recovery and in supporting the affected families and community. In this action we mobilized over 250 volunteers that worked in partnership with Blaze Aid, Animal Sanctuaries and Food Bank. We believe in community values and how this is beneficial to both those who help and those who receive help. The sense of belonging and empowerment we feel when getting involved with the community is real and important, and we will keep helping the migrant community to make this connection.

The time has come to stand our hands one more time and help those affected by the floods in Mid Coast. This holiday we’ve got 50 amazing volunteers in North Heaven to help families with donations that Brazilian Aid have received in the past couple weeks. Also, we had 3 teams working in the affected houses:

1) Tradies doing demolition and redoing the floors of the houses. They worked in 6 houses with our captain Flavia Teixeira
2) Heavy cleaning in 8 houses with our captain Ana Gabriela Laverde
3) Gazibo painting

Special thanks to Addison Road Community Centre, Aussie Battlers, Brazilian Style Imports, Brigadoon Holiday Park, Chef’s Choice, Crystal Services Group, Sabrina’s Painting, Leon Truck Company, Super Render, Tassell Financial Planning PTY and our amazing volunteers who spent this Easter weekend working with us.

Hi everyone! What a week!

We are doing so much and it's being incredible the support we are receiving from our community!

At the moment we are organizing the pick-up of the 100 hamper boxes our amazing partner organization Addison Road Community Organisation is donating! We have 2 trucks offered by the amazing Leon Zanon Chimenti and we are looking for two people to drive them.

What you need:
1) To be 25yo or older
2) To have a Aussie drivers license
3) Be available on Thursday morning!

What the task will be:
1) Pick up the truck in Botany
2) drive to Marrickville
3) We'll load everything
4) Drive to our volunteer's who will drive over the long weekend (Parramatta or Kingsford)

UPDATE: the amazing crew from Addison Road Community Organisation will be donating 100 hamper boxes for us to take there! HOW AMAZING IS THIS? So food is probably not necessary anymore! Let's focus on the rest that is necessary!

Oi galera, tudo bem?

Estamos nos organizando pra apoiar a comunidade sendo afetada pelas enchentes! É a mesma comunidade que foi afetada pelos fogos de 2019, e que nós fomos ajudar!

A gente precisa:
1) doações de roupa, etc
2) comida n perecível, água, comida de bebê
3) s**o de dormir, colchão inflável, etc

E carros e motoristas pra levar pra lá! Sem vcs nenhuma doação chega neles!

Bora mostrar nossa força e espírito!

The couple that lost this house on the video, were supposed to get married today, and instead lost their house and pets. We have no words!

Hey everyone! It's been a bit busy, and I couldn't update you on this. Our action with Yodalla Wildlife Refuge that was schedule for this past weekend, had to be postponed. For the first time in over a year, everyone available to go didn't had cars. So our action is now scheduled for the last weekend of March, from Friday 26th, to Sunday 28th.

Youdalla Wildlife Refuge was heavily affected by the 2019/2020 devastating bushfires, and still struggling to rebuild. Our activities will vary depending on the weather: If it's dry we will be cleaning up and rebuilding fences, if it's wet we will be planting native trees.

Please let us know if you have interest to go with us! It's going to be super fun!
