We're doing everything we can to help Australia's cancer researchers break new ground to find it. And we’re doing everything we can to help Australia’s cancer researchers break new ground to find it. Raising money to fund cancer research is what Tour de Cure is all about – here’s some of the ways you can help bring the vision of a cancer free future closer.. From humble beginnings in 2007, the Tour de Cure community has grown to become a national movement of thousands of people, walking, running, riding and swimming to raise awareness and inspire support in the fight to cure cancer. The generosity of our supporters has enabled us to fund 797 cancer projects and we’re proud to have contributed to 129 scientific cancer breakthroughs. Thanks to our supporters, we're getting closer to our dream of a world without cancer, but there's still an urgent need for more effective treatments to improve survival rates and quality of life.

Who are you Stepping Out for? 🏅

Your Step Out for Cancer medal lanyard has space for you to add who you Stepped Out for – whoever that may be. A loved one, a friend, an entire family – someone you miss, someone you’re standing beside, or everyone impacted by cancer.

And for our runners, there’s an extra detail – 5km, 10km and 2-Hour Challenge Run participants can add their finish time to the lanyard too. ⏱️

Since 2007, the Tour de Cure community has come together with one shared purpose – to change the story for people impacted by cancer.

Together, we’ve helped fund 275 major cancer breakthroughs, backed 1,359 cancer projects, and raised more than $177 million for cancer research, prevention, and support. Behind those numbers are researchers pursuing new discoveries, communities receiving vital support, and an incredible community of people and organisations who have helped make it all possible.
